Christmas tree in room

I would love to post a photos of our tree - how do you do that?!
My nephews and I made great ornaments with small and medium styrofoam balls that we glued together, painted blue and then covered with blue and silver sparkles, then inserted gold rope loops for hanging on the tree for mouse ears. I'd love to show them off!

PS: Disneyjunkie - I was Norrington from the pirates of the Caribbean quiz - boring but true - LOVED that movie!!!!!

I sent down a tree via UPS, and I had the pleasure of decorating it with ornaments that I got at Disney and AKL!!

They have them at many of the stores at the parks and at the resort gift shops as well!

Ozziewags:
Two Christmases ago my husband and I took our entire family to Walt Disney World for a week as our christmas gift to them. We got two studios and a grand villa at the Boardwalk and all 18 of us had a BLAST! We were able to do it through DVC and it was so special - something we will all remember forever. Definitely a once in a lifetime trip. We also booked a couple of nights at the Grand Floridian just the two of us to ofset the insanity of it all because it sure was a crazy week!
The room that you see was the villa - it had views of fireworks at MGM, Animal Kingdom and Epcot and every night we had different entertainment drifting up through our windows - jazz, caroling, magicians, jugglers - amazing!!!

Or have Disney provide one: click here for Disney tree. The sky's the limit. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Hi,
Can anyone help me out with info on getting a Christmas tree in your hotel room through Disney ? This link doesn't seem to work for me---I've tried a couple of times. Here's the error message I keep getting : "The File You Are Looking For Is Inaccessible."

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Even though Christmas trees are not on there now, they will be as the season gets nearer. You can always call them or email them with Qs too.

We ordered the 3 ft tree from the WDW florist last Christmas. It was about $215 including tax and delivery charges. There was a Disney Club discount available too so be sure and check the DC website or ask the florist. It cost approximately $15 to ship it home UPS, insured. That was to Oklahoma.

The resort will deliver the tree (in it's box) to your room.
Keep the original box the tree came in to ship it home. The box is rather large so keep in mind it will take up some room space storing it. When you're ready to ship it home, you just take it in it's original box to the front desk.

A word of warning.....When the tree arrives from the florist, it's in a box but there is no protective packing material at all. While they told us at WL they would "prepare" it for shipping, preparing it consisted of putting a shipping label on it, nothing more. I didn't realize this and when the crushed box arrived at our house, several of the ornaments were broken. Fortunately, the breakable ones were sold at WDW so on our summer trip I replaced them and can't wait to put it up at home this year!

At any rate, if you buy a tree from the florist, I'd bring packing materials with me . I was told at WL they didn't keep that sort of thing there, so you'll have no way to protect the tree from damage.

Btw, last year the WDW Florist website never had photos of the Christmas trees or even mention of them for that matter. We bought ours sight unseen, but we were very pleased with the quality.

Peachgirl, that's terrible that they didn't prepare your package. But glad they made up for it.:D

We always send home packages from the BW business center and have had the same guy help us. He uses extra packing material if I need it, and everthing has arrived back home safely so far.

Honestly, I have been disappointed with Disney Florist's lack of communication. I wrote them asking about seeing photos of the Christmas trees and was told they would fax me some pictures. However, after several reminder emails, they were never sent. Disney Florist said they were checking on whether they would be on the website or not, and that is the last I heard from them.

I am not brave enough to purchase something without seeing it first. At this point, we are planning on buying a 4 ft pre-lit tree from Home Depot at around $40 and including it as one of our pieces of luggage (not a big box). I figure I can go to town with a ornaments and still not come close to the cost from Disney Florist os $200+. We saw a new Disney Christmas book that is full of itty-bitty Disney book ornaments that can be read. I think that is the starting point of my tree's decorations!

Our experience at the GF in Sugar Loaf was different than peachgirl's. My son ordered the large one for us a Christmas gift. We checked in, had lunch and then 4 out of 5 of us went down to the marina. My daughter didn't want to go so she was in one of the connecting rooms. I returned to the other room after a while and this beautiful tree was all set up and shimmering in the corner. My daughter didn't even hear whoever set it up despite the fact that the doors were a little ajar. Probably had her headphones on listening to a book on tape though.

The night before we were checking out, I asked about shipping it home and was told they would help us...the box was supposed to be in a storeroom although we never saw the box. Next morning I asked again and Louise and a nice lady who is the head of Housekeeping for GF told me they would make sure it was shipped UPS and charge our card on file. Sure enough it arrived home maybe 10 days after we did?? Don't remember for sure. I think someone must have done a good job boxing it because I couldn't hear anything rattling around.:D We will open it the day after Thanksgiving and then know for sure. The folks in Sugar Loaf were great.

I really wanted to see the tree first before ordering it our first Christmas at WDW so I didn't order it. We have been buying a skinny 5ft. tree and checking it as luggage.

My son would love the storybook Christmas ornaments, did you see that in the catalogue? Sounds cute!

May I ask....is this a fiber optic tree or pre-decorated ? If it is fiber optic, is that all they offer from the WDW Florist ? Thanks.

The tree we received was like a traditional green artificial tree. It had many pretty ornaments on it as well as these fiber optic spangle kind of things that glowed on and off. It was sooo pretty. Not in the least like the fiber optic trees that I've seen on the market. Much prettier aand fuller.
