Anyone know how I would go about getting a small christmas tree to have in my room at the DL resort in December?

~Ingrid

In past years, we have called the hotel and ordered a small Disney decorated tree (and a box to take it home in). They also have various themed stockings to choose from. :thumbsup2 :santa:

Contact Vacation Planning 714-300-7526. They have a lot of options, gift baskets, trees, ornaments, etc.

Just make a call to Vacation Planning at Disneyland (714-300-7526, option 2) and they can help you out. We did it last year and it was magical. My 4 yr old daughter thought Santa delivered it! We will be there in December and last I spoke to VP (on Sunday, Oct 29), they did not have the Christmas amenities out yet.

I called! Thanks, they dont' have Christmas stuff yet but they are going to call me for a tree when they come in. I am so excited!!! Anyone know how much they cost last year? I am thinking we can take it down to southern california with us and then fly it home on the 24th and set it up in our house...hope it lives that long :)

We got the tree last year and it was about $170. It is a 4 foot artificial tree so you cna keep it forever! The give you a box to ship it home in, but we didn't need it as we drove. Enjoy!

I just talked to VP tonight and they said that it has not been finalized, but they believe that this year's tree will have a gingerbread house theme with at least 2 plush and lots of red & white gingham. She said it was really cute. They have not finalized the Christmas amenities (trees and stockings) due to an ordering issue, and they hope to have it finalized in one week. She also said that they expect the tree to cost between $180-$200.

Thank you for taking the time to find out this information! It is really useful and I appreciate it

For those who want just a fun little tree (read cheap!). I noticed Target has little fake trees in their dollar area for 2.50. in metallic colors ( blue, pink purple) and fake green. They also have tiny lights and ornaments. It is pretty small ( 18 to 24 inches) and folds up, so you can pack it with your luggage and set it up when you get there. You can do the tree and light it and decorate it for aabout 10 bucks.

I think we will do this for the kids. Then we can buy ornaments and decorate it. Then we will do the big tree at home for the 4 days before xmas.

Have a wonderful trip!

We will be at poly dec 9 - 14 and AKL 14th - 19.

Can't wait!

Whoops just realized I was on the DLR page. Will be staying at GC in May. But Target trees still apply! I will just be setting my tree up is WDW!

I bought a fake tree from Target about 2 years ago and it's about 7 or 8 ft. tall and only cost $19.99! I bought a real tree last year from Home Depot. I forgot how tall it was but it only cost around $35.

I think a little fake tree is the way to go then I am buying the Christmas tree air freshener from Yankee Candle and it will smell like Christmas in DL :santa:

That's a great idea. :sunny:

OK, must ask. Am I the only one who thinks $170 to $200 is a little steep for a disneyland tree? If I pay that much, I would surly want to keep it and then have to ship it home(more money). I am on the list for vacation planning to be called when they are availible. What do :grouphug: think popcorn:: .

I also think that is a little too much for a Disneyland tree. I'm on the list for them to call me but I'm not sure that I'll be buying one :confused3 I think I could use that money for other treats while we're there.

Well, we got one last year and were UNDERwhelmed. It is a basic artificial tree, with plain glass balls (gold, blue and maroon last year), 4 small disney plush (beanie siezed), some chocolate covered oreos , and a 50th anniversary frame (under the tree). There were no lights and no disney ornaments (just plain ones like you can buy at Target, Walmart, etc.). I was definitely expecting more, like some Disney ornaments that said Disneyland and had the year. I was glad we did it once, as it was magical, but I would never do it again. Like you said, you could do a lot more with the money that is just as fun.

Brad from VP just called me a minute ago (he's so nice) with the tree & stocking info. So they're available now. :)

Thanks for details on the tree. :goodvibes

I got a call back too. I decided however the price was just too high. I know it would be pretty but $180 plus tax plus shipping. I think the huge tree at disneyland and the trip will have to be enough christmas cheer for my kids....we are getting home on the 24th and will put up a tree at home when we get back Christmas Eve! Thanks for everyone that was so helpful with this thread....

I'm planning to bring a small tree, setting up while the boys sleep.
When they wake up on Christmas Day ready to go to DL , they will have a bit of Christmas cheer to start our busy day!

I have been looking for a few weeks now and was about to give up finding a small lightweight tree for really cheap. (We are flying, needs to be small to pack!) (Needs to be cheap so I can leave it behind if needed for room in lauggage.)

Target has updated their $ spot (and $2.50 spot). Found small tree that squishes up nicely and light weight, battery operated lights, tiny tree skirt and tiny ornaments ... very cute and $2.50 each package.
They also have a tree with lights (plug in) .. about 6 inches tall.

Under $10 for a little splash of Christmas decor for our home away from home (HoJo's) :cool1:
