Going down christmastime in a 1 bedroom and wondering (since in past years ive seen others dvcer's with them) where can u go to get a real christmas tree and lights/decorations in the area?

Disney Florist sells decorated trees (not sure if they are real or not) but they are very expensive. I think in the $200-$300 range. I'm not sure where you could go to buy a real tree. LL Bean usually sells trees that they deliver. Might be possible to have them send one down to WDW. You could go smaller and either buy or bring a smaller tabletop size tree. Decorations could be bought at Walmart or the Christmas shops at WDW. Lights are easy to throw into the suitcase if you want to save shopping time.

We took a small table top tree in our suitcase decorated with Mickey ornaments which we had purchased at the our local Hallmark store. It was easy and quiet to set up. The kids were surprised and received Disney dollars in Disney stockings.

They still use these Disney character stockings(from our Disney Store) and talk about the Christmas we spent at WDW when they hang them up every year.

In addition to stands at nearly every street corner, we find that most of our grocery stores sell trees, as well.

Publix, in particular, normally has trees. We're east of Tampa - I wouldn't be surprised if the Publix's in the Orlando area would have them, too.

I'd check with the resort before putting up a real tree...just to make sure they don't have any fire code issues etc.

Last year we packed a 3 foot table top tree, and the lights. we didn't bring any decorations..just the lights, and it was perfect sitting on the end table between the couch and love seat at OKW. We also brough strings of lights for the porch, and enjoyed seeing the decorations everyone else at OKW also put out. Really felt like a neighborhood!

This year we will be at BCV's in December...anyone knoq if it's OK to put lights out on the balcony? I see to recall not seeing any lights other than the garlands put out to WDW at the boardwalk last year. Don't want to drag lights along if we can't use them!

I am quite sure you would be unable to put up a REAL tree. Even apartment complexes are unable to have REAL trees in our area because of fire hazard. I like to just put up a string of lights instead.

nicholas 25,
One alternative to putting up a real tree, but still enjoy the nice pine smell is to order a Christmas flower arrangement from the Disney Florist. I usually order an arrangement that has red and white carnations and pine greens in it. It is very festive and smells goodl
I also like to put up a small artificial tree. One time, I decorated the tree with little key chains and Santa Legos.

If your only getting flowers or a table top tree, the internet florists are probably only 1/3 or 1/2 of what the disney florist charges. We got a tabletop tree from one of them with a strand of lights and a pack of ornaments and they fedex it to the resort for you. I forget the price off hand but it was MUCH sheaper than the disney florist.

We thought about a full size tree (and i might have paid the hefty price from the disney florist to have it all decorated perfectly as i'm sure they would) but we figured it might just take up too much room.
