I can't remember who started it, but posters put up photos of their Christmas trees and decorations (inside and out) and it ended up being quite long.. It was fun looking at the photos (minus the few people who chose to make less than flattering remarks) and I was wondering if that person plans on starting the thread again this year.. (Where hopefully everyone can mind their manners..;) )

Anyone remember who started that thread? Since some folks have decorated already - and many seemed to enjoy that thread last year - would it be too early to start it now?

I'm really looking forward to it! :santa:

EDITED: Looks like I have started the thread - just by inquiring about it.. We have a contribution!!!:thumbsup2

Feel free to add yours if you would like - and Thanksgiving decorations are welcome too
..:goodvibes

I think you just DID start it, C.Ann. I remember that thread and LOVED it!!

We don't have our decorations up yet, but this sounds like fun. I'd love to see what the early decorators have been up to. Love, love, love all things Christmas.

Well it wasn't my intent to "start" that thread, but if someone wants to take it and run with it, that's fine by me..:goodvibes

Last year I was going to put up some of my DD's Disney Christmas decorating, but I got the photos as far as Photo Bucket and ran into a problem..

So - now I just enjoy looking at the photos that others post..:santa:

Can anyone FIND that thread? I was inspired by some of those pics and would LOVE to see those pics again!!!

I think I remember that thread too, and really enjoyed seeing how people decorated their homes and trees. I would love to see it done again this year too. :goodvibes

I loved that thread too !
C.Ann I'm glad that you to started it, would even
be happy to see Thanksgiving decorations.

I'm off to follow that link and get some inspiration :)

I remember that thread - it was that thread which convinced me to dump my "traditional" tree and purchase a white/glittery tree with blue lights. I spent a small fortune on white, blue and silver ornaments. ;)

Great thread idea for this year C.Ann ;) I didnt participate in last years but to get this one started can I show my tree from last year? I was away from home and wanted to do something completely different as I missed home so didn't want to recreate home so my fiance got us a purple Christmas tree to be different so our purple Christmas tree!
I dunno I loved this photo I took it without flash and it came out kinda nifty (i suck with taking photos haha)

Thanks! I wasn't really planning to be the one to start this thread, but I'll edit the title now..

Love your purple tree - what a great idea! Thanks for sharing it..
:santa:

Just finished going thru the one from last year and got some great ideas on how to do the fireplace we have for the first time this year. Cant wait started to bring up the decorations from the basement so I should be able to get a start on it this weekend:yay:

We don't have Christmas decorations up yet (I'll try to get some pics of our Thanksgiving decorations, though) however, my workplace does!

Actually they aren't "our" decorations. They are a fundraiser. Each tree will be sold, usually to a business who will use it to decorate their lobby. The money goes to Children's Miracle Network. So they will all be gone on December 1st, but they are fun to look at now. Here are pics of some of them.

This one is made by a group of ladies who smock the clothes for NICU babies. The tree will go on display there, and the outfits will be given to the babies to wear home after Chrismas. :goodvibes

laurie31...Those trees are beautiful!! But I think I'm in trouble now. :rotfl:Last year I had 14 trees fully decorated. This year I had decided to keep things simple and only put a couple of the trees up.............Now I'm not so sure....... :rotfl2:

Thanks, C.Ann, for starting this year's Christmas decorations thread! I loved seeing everyone's beautiful trees, lights, and all the other Christmasy decorations last year. It was a great way to get into the holiday spirit. I especially loved the photos that included pets.:)

Looking forward to checking in on this year's thread.:woohoo:
