Christmas Travel & Airline tickets

We are planning a large family vacation (11 of us) to WDW 12/26-12/30. We can book airlines tickets now on various airlines but would like to fly JetBlue from JFK. I can't buy JetBlue now, I can purchase them 8 months before the trip. The other "various airlines" ticket prices are starting to climb. Only small increments but do I wait until May for JetBlue or buy tickets now?

Suggestions? Help?

Sorry to say that the boat may have sailed on the real cheap fares. I booked SONG from LGA/MCO on the 23rd for 59 one way and now it is at 249. My guess is that SONG will come down from 249 but not to 59. I would keep my eyes open and grab anything that looks good for you. Jetblue never has super cheap fares over the Christmas holiday. I have been heading to Florida over Christmas for the past 10 years and usually pay about 225 to 250 R/T . You may also want to check out AA from LGA to MCO. I would be leary about USAIRWAYS as they may not be around in December. Happy hunting

We went 12/26-1/2 this past year. From the 335 day mark when airfares opened, they were consistantly $550 per person. One day, on Expedia.com, AirTran was running $220 per person (it wasn't available on their website, it only showed up on Expedia). We booked the flight, and I checked it again on Expedia, and it was back up to $500+. I never did see the flights go below $500. We were very happy with that $220 fare!

Check SW. The maximum, fully refundable fare, from PIT to MCO is $358.90 R/T for non-stop flights.

We're all looking for the deeply discounted fares and it's easy to lose sight of how cheap their fully refundable fares are.
