OK - we've been over this before, but I waan't paying attention. I tip my hairdresser with every perm/haircut/color. She also cuts & perms my DM's hair. Do I give her a cash tip in a card for Christmas? I don't have an appt with her until January, but my mom has a trim this afternoon. (I think, in the past, I've given her a really big tip with a perm or cut right before Christmas.) arrrgghh! I'm trying to figure out how much - I've been going to her for at least 8 years! Anyone have a suggestion?

I gave a cash tip in an X-Mas Card to our family hairdresser who comes to our house...year round to cut our hair.
You could give whatever amount you want.

I dont really "tip" my hairdresser at Christmas(other than my usual tip), but I do give her a gift. This year it was a 25.00 gift certificate to a restaurant & pub.

I tip for each appointment and bring a gift at Christmas and randomly throughout the year.

I usually give my stylist a gift for the holidays (in addition to her regular tip.) Last year I gave her a bottle of wine that I know she likes.

Dh took a loaf of homemade zucchini bread and some candy to the hair place today. The girls there are ALWAYS talking about food, so it was the perfect gift!:smooth:

Speaking for myself, I don't expect anything but I'll tell you, over the past 19 years people have been so good to me at Christmas. Whether it has been money, food (which I wear proudly ;) ) or gifts, it is all so nice and appreciated. One of my favorite things this year (besides money which I'll admit I like) was a package of Evelyn and Crabtree fancy soaps. There are like 8 of them in this beautiful package and I have only used fancy soaps once in my life when this same woman gave me a smaller set last year. It is something I would never buy for myself and I know I'm going to enjoy them. :)

I gave my hairdresser some Victoria Secret's lotions. She seemed to like them a lot. :)

Oh, I really do like the soaps, but, I have to tell you--I also got a set of Mickey Mouse blue and white checkered towels with the mouse head icon done in the swirly way around the border. Now, that was cool gift too. :)
