This December will be our first time at WDW during the Christmas holidays. I can't wait to see all the decorations.

I am really looking forward to seeing how each of the countries in WS at Epcot decorates for Christmas. I have also heard that each country has a Santa. Is this ture? Does each country have their version of Santa?! How wonderful that will be to see! Where are they found usually - out front and visible or would I have to ask a CM where they are? Do they all tell stories?

Is there anything else special about Christmas in Epcot WS besides CP that I need to make sure and see?

Thanks for any info you can give.

I absolutely LOVED EPCOT last Christmas. Each country does indeed have its own storyteller but only some are versions of Santa.

For example, Mexico has the 3 kings who were wonderful, and Italy has Mama something, sorry I can't recall her name but I really enjoyed her lovely story.

Each storyteller sets up at some area of the country's pavilion, but not necessarily at the front. The UK's Father Christmas was located at the courtyard towards the back of the pavilion. The times of each presentation are clearly shown as well as information about Christmas customs for each country.

There is a CM present to ensure kids don't get too close to the storytellers. Last year I saw a young boy who wouldn't stop shouting at Germany's St Nicklaus. He poked at his costume etc and the mother just stood watching and smoking. The CM had to remove him.

If you get the chance to see the CP I would. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip. One of the most wonderful shows I've ever seen and heard.

For children there is an opportunity to get pictures taken with Santa and Mrs Claus at the American pavilion.

Also be sure to see the real gingerbread house at the same pavilion. It smells gorgeous and is actually used as a cookie (gingerbread of course) stand. They sell hot chocolate and hot apple cider too.

The arch of lights between the WS and FW is astounding. It lights up in time to the music.

Can't think of anything else right now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the post and the link. That looks really great and I am definitely adding it to my agenda of things to do when we are there.

My Parents and brother and my DH and DD are thinking about Christmas 2005... Now I really want to go!
