Just wondering if there is a Christmas thread for girls 6-10.. I seen the teen thread but need ideas for younger girls. Any suggestions.. Tia!!

Littlest pets shops are popular through that age group. Kidz bop cds. Junie b jones, geronimo Stilton, dork diaries and goddess girls books. Monster high, ever after high. Build a bear gift cards. Movie and ice cream gift cards. Ice skating and snow tubing gear if you have snow.

I have three girls, ages 5 1/2, 8, and 11. I know all the details on this subject as we just played "Imaginary shopping spree" with the Toys R Us big book of toys. The Little Live Pets toys are really in right now. My youngest has the turtle and loves it. It swims in water and walks on solid surfaces. She actually sleeps with it next to her bed at night too.

My daughter is 6 and, like @Carriemel said, it's Shopkins, Shopkins, Shopkins! I dream about blind baskets! She's also really into Lego sets, Little Live Pets, Littlest Pet Shop, and Puppy In My Pocket.

My older DD is 6, and has been asking for a marble run for what feels like forever. She also likes Lego sets and is still into My Little Pony.

My 7 year old just spent the night circling everything in the target toy book. EVERYTHING!

She really wants an American Girl Doll, some doc mcstuffins play set things and a Barbie dream house.

I will not buy or suggest littlest pet shop or Shopkins. They are both too small and annoying for me to deal with. Bad mom I know.

I have a 10 year old, and she would not be interested in any of those things listed above, except maybe the snow stuff and movie gift cards. She had a Kidz Bop CD once and never played it. Wanted the real thing, then ditched the CD player altogether. So I think some of those things listed are more appropriate for the younger age range that you are requesting. I guess it all depends on what they are interested in. My daughters were never into Littlest Pet Shop or any of those kind of toys. No Barbies or Monster High either. She likes sports stuff. Would like itunes gift cards. She's asking for a fairly advanced art set (more than the basic crayons, pencils, etc). Books - Kingdom Keepers, the Land of Stories, Wimpy Kid, Lemony Snicket. She's also asking for Beats headphones this year, but is only getting them if I find a really good deal. Still likes Lego, but is growing out of it. She's also asking for dancing water speakers. She currently is into the Sculpey Clay stuff, so I'll probably get her some molds and tools for that. Classic games are always good - we still play Sorry, Othello, Blokus, Trouble, Yahtzee, Life, Monopoly, Jenga, Clue, etc.

I was actually going to say that is a huge age range to base things on.

Depending on when their birthday is that could be a kindergartener up to a fifth grader. Huge difference from the beginning of elementary school till the end.

My 9-year old (3rd grade) asked for Ivy + Bean books, wireless headphones, lip gloss/hair mascara, Ugg boots, clothes from Justice, and a Boodle Box subscription. She's also getting a quality piece of luggage...her "kiddie" one has been officially retired. She also wants to redo her room, which she's had since she was 3...goodbye Minnie Mouse (sniffle sniffle). So she's getting a new bed-in-the-bag set as well. We've also looked at an electric scooter for her. Since we have three littles, we are planning to also gift them a night at a nearby Great Wolf Lodge in January or February.

FYI groupon has beats headphones currently for $99. It says they are originally $179. https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-beats-solo-hd-drenched-headphones-with-mic-1

What kind of luggage are you looking at? We need to get my 10 year old a new piece for an overseas trip and haven't paid attention to luggage in years! I'm getting something carry-on size.

My DD is 9 and the number one thing on her list is a hoverboard. I'm not happy about that.

She also wants some play makeup, Mc2 dolls (I have no idea what this is), nail polish, clothes from Justice and sneakers.

She also just recently mentioned a lego set. I didn't write it down so I don't remember.

@kawc1945 - I actually assigned that present to my parents. I think my Dad said he was looking at Samsonite and American Tourister. She's going to get one piece (likely the roller/carry on) now and then another piece for her next birthday and so on...

If I hear him mention other brands, I will certainly post back.

@mi*vida*loca - I heard this one as well. But, I was unhappy as well. That's why I'm leaning toward a motorized scooter. Not that it's too much better, but maybe a little...

My oldest daughter is 7 and Shopkins is her #1 thing. All. The. Time.
Also an American Girl doll (can't bring myself to spend that much on one doll, though), Lego, make your own jewellery and Littlest Pet Shop.

My 9 year old wants Lego Friends, clothes for her American Girl doll and craft supplies - rubber stamps and washi tape.

Thanks!

I have no idea why my response posted like that, but thanks for letting me know about the luggage.

My DD is 10 and I haven't heard of Shopkins. Maybe she has and isn't interested. She's at a hard age to buy for this year!

Agree it is a hard range but also because the maturity level can vary so much! There could be a 10YO who still loves to play with dolls and a 6YO who just isn't into them. DD (8) is not into dolls so that takes out a huge chunk. Her #1 ask is an iPad and I flat out told her no, that I believe if she wants an iPad, she needs to save at least half the money herself and earn her way toward it, given it is a fun item but very expensive. I think next year we might get her a chrome book though so she can do her homework on there. For this year, her big gift is a drum kit (used -- still so happy about the deal I got!) and she and her brother get to share the xbox rock band game we got off eBay. Some other things she has either asked for, we've put on her list, or I already have stashed away (and includes stuff from us, Santa, and likely relatives):
* smencils (fantastic stocking stuffer)
* emoji pillow (she wants the love one)
* Disney ToT Clue game (got that a couple years ago about half off)
* books: Roald Dahl book set, Dork Diaries (she loves those), Bunnicula, American Girl kind of self help (What to Say, friend book, Care and Keeping of You, etc.)
* movies: Minion movie, Princess Diaries, Halloweentown original, Descendants
* music: she's thinking about the Descendants CD
* light up drum sticks
* clothes: I have a descendants sweatshirt for her and Little Miss Matched catalog just came and will probably get her a couple things from there along with a Broncos t-shirt.
* posters, primarily Harry Potter ones (she's been slowly putting up posters since we took down the generic princess wall stuff)
* sewing kit
* parachute pig
* craft kit (she will share this with her brother)
* fun socks (I use these in the stocking)
* ornament (a Harry Potter one :) )
* Shopkins jewelry ones
* boogie board tablet
* maybe a spooner board, she's not sure
* wiki stix (stocking stuffer)
* story cubes (stocking stuffer, though may go to her brother -- I have to assess at the end)
* probably a new winter hat, new gloves
* bulgey eye pens -- got a set at Costco and I'm breaking it up so I can give them to nieces and nephews too
