We are trying to plan a trip during the fall and want to see Christmas. The best dates for our family schedule though are sometime between October 19th and November 6th. Is it too much to hope that we would get to see some of Christmas if we went November 3rd-6th? I know the Christmas themed fireworks and possibly IASWAA would probably not be ready until the 6th at the earliest but what about all the decorations, Christmas goodies, merchandise and most importantly and the big Christmas tree on Main Street?

I have gone the first week of November but it has been a while, prior to any of the Halloween parties in Disneyland. I wasn't sure if since Halloween has gotten to be so popular that maybe the rush to put up Christmas décor is not quite such a rush.

Any input would be great.

Sherry's Christmas/Holiday SuperThread as the start dates for the various holiday activities and elements from last year. It looks like most things started between November 7 and 14 in 2014. This year, that would mean things would start between November 6 and 13. I think much of the decorations and goodies will be available in early November. Some of the holiday merchandise will probably be available from mid-October. It's also worth noting that they've already announced that they won't be presenting the Holiday Fireworks show this year. Disneyland Forever, the new fireworks show for the 60th will be presented instead.

Based on the photos and reports from last year, the Christmas Tree was not up on the 7th, but it was there on the 14th. So it went up at some point during the week.

I hadn't heard about the fireworks schedule but I am actually happy about the holiday fireworks show not happening this year. One last thing to try and fit in and show our first timers that we are taking with us and the Disneyland Forever show sounds like it is going to be amazing. Thanks for the info.

Christmas is on the 25th of December. That is when it is officially recognized.

Lol....
