Christmas taping question

I found out last week that the Magic Kingdom taping will be right in the middle of our vacation. We have no desire to stand for hours to see this. Does anyone know around what time they stop taping? And do the crowds, for the most part, clear out afterwards? Thanks ahead of time.

My daughter is dying to go. We have annual passes and live an hour and a half away so it is an option to come over but does anyone have idea of who might be when?

You don't need to watch it if you don't want to. They have aisles to get around the crowds on Main Street, and everything is pretty much contained there for the taping.

As PP said, you don't have to watch, you can get around and into the parks. Once they finish for the day, those who are there to watch the taping will disperse into the park, so it won't "clear out", but you will be able to get back down Main St.
