Christmas Stockings ... how to decide

We had ones that my mom bought at a craft market in Germany when i was growing up.. Then when my husband and my ds joined the family we got a babies first Christmas stocking for him, and my dh picked out his own.. I cant for the life of me remember what his is! My dd has a pink princess stocking, but we dont have anything for the twins yet.. We are thinking about getting something monogrammed that will match for the whole family. Right now it is all mixed up!

We got our girls' stockings at Pottery Barn Kids. They are ADORABLE and have their names embroidered on them.

No theme, really - DD2yrs and I have reindeer, DD6mo has an ice skater, and DH has snowflakes.

We each picked one we like. They don't match each other and don't really match the decor. Each person just gets to pick the one they like best in the store that way it feels personal to them.

Same here---we all chose the one we wanted, and they don't match each other, or any 'theme'.

I'd been using "quilted" stockings the past few years. I think I got them at Walmart a few years ago. They have snowmen scenes on them and were meant to work with the whole snowman thing I was doing. DH & I shared one because they are large and DD was assigned the other one.

We added my brother to the household so two stockings just won't do for all of us. I found four matching burgundy satin/velvet patchwork stockings with tassels in the clearance section last week and got them for a steal.

Mine and my brother's were knitted for the ones at grandma's house and then needlepoint for the ones at our house.

I made cross stitch stockings for both of my boys. I didn't want them identical but they have a similar theme...they both have santa, snow, and animals. I'm hoping they will hold up through their adult years!
