Christmas Shopping Panic, DD11 and DD8

I just ordered all the girls purses, the recycled candy wrapper ones. Those will be fun. I love them. The one I got for my DD8 is Mickey Mouse though, so I may have to order her a different one if I take it over, which is very possible. I thought maybe I'd do the straws with money in those.

You guys gave me lots of Stocking Stuffer ideas, and I needed those so thank you so much, I appreciate it! Still not sure what DD11 and DD8's one big thing will be, but we have decided that as a shared gift from Santa will be $200 to cover the cost of a weekend to the indoor waterpark. We were going to take them anyway, they don't know that, but when we were in Disney we were going to do a waterpark and decided that for the money we could spend a whole weekend at the one near us in January or February when we were wanting some fun, so we decided to skip the waterpark day, but the kids didn't know any of this and instead we added a park day. So they will be excited about that, we don't really spend anything we hasn't planned to and if they don't get a lot on Christmas, they still have that to look forward to.

Thanks for all the ideas, I have lots of shopping ahead of me, but may not get to it till the weekend so if more ideas come in I'll be taking notes!

We just bought 2 card games from Amazon- Scattergories The Card Games and Pictionary Card Game. We had a blast playing them and I like that we can take the games with us (travel or to someone's house). They would make good stocking stuffers.

what about Hallmark card studio? My dd14 got this when she was around 11 and has loved it and still uses it..just yesterday actually...you can make cards, projects etc...

My girls are 11 & 13 The last few bdays and Christmas' we bought Ipod touchs, they each have Cannon camera's and a Flip video. Those were top on their list the last year and this year.

Also a big thing they ask for are art supplies. DD13 wants easel and canvas with good paints and brushes. Also good drawing pad. She loves art. And real makeup She can't wear it out but she might as well practice. Last nights concert I'd say 70% of girls wore some kind of makeup.

The younger loves clays modeling going out tomorrow to buy.

I apologize if this has been posted, I didn't read all the responses. I did read one PP suggested birthstone jewelry. I think this is a great idea. You can get small birthstone studs very reasonably at KMart. I bought each of my bridesmaids a pair for around $30. They'll feel like they get a "grown up" piece of jewelry, but if they lose them, it's not a huge deal.

What about a mom & me mani/pedi day? Not a spa, but a nail salon. Manis run about $15, pedis around $20-$25. Even just a mani would be fun. I took my niece for her first one (with her mom's permission of course) when she was 11 and she loved it! Throw in lunch at each of their favorite restaurants (w/in reason of course). This doesn't take up room and is a great experience with mom. While I don't want to wish away having a little one, I can't wait to do this stuff with my girls.

I bought my DD a pair of tall Bear Paw ones. I think they were $39, but the shorter ones may be cheaper. I also saw some fake Uggs at Costco for about the same price. Good luck!

We bought 2 of our girls these too. Seem to be a little better quality than some of the other Ugg knock-offs. We got them I believe at Famous Footwear when they had buy one, get one half off and we also had a 20% off thing, so we got 2 pair for $60.
