Christmas shopping is on

Pretty much finished.
There was a great sale at JC Crew that allowed me to buy DGD metallic knit socks in every color she imagines (I don’t get the want for mint green but she’ll never have to worry about me borrowing them, lol) and a few animal print belts. Bought her sister some Hanna Andersson Christmas pjs and that’s it.
Oh right I bought a tin of peppermint bark and a hot chocolate kit for the two of them as well.
Everyone else is old enough to buy their own gifts 😉.

What I do miss though...the gift wrapping! I love it and enjoy it! 🎁

I do love wrapping presents!

You should start a gift wrapping business just at Christmas…lol I hate wrapping

I liked wrapping until after the year at Christmas I was hired at a department store and assigned to the gift wrapping department. it was'nt bad if something came boxed or we had boxes to put items in but people would bring up floor model lamps and other oddly shaped items and expect us to be able to camouflage them with paper and ribbon (they were on sale as floor models b/c the boxes no longer existed  ). this was a million years before anyone though of making big fabric gift bags-man we would have killed for those.

I bought the Lululemon Disney belt bag for my 26 year old daughter.

Haven’t finished yet. I picked two snowflakes off a snowman banner at work for children receiving mental health services so will go this weekend

Yesterday we went and got my SIL gifts. And a sander for me. Today I wrapped all the gifts we do have. Tonight we are going to put the tree up, because DD is coming visit.
She is not going put a tree up this year.

I don't have a ton to buy anymore but still not done.

DH's side does not exchange, we just get together for a meal and drinks on Xmas night.

In my family the adults draw names which now includes everyone but my 16 year old nephew. So I will have to buy for 2 adults (mine and DH's pick), my nephew, a few small things for DS (bc he participates in the drawing now), a few small things for DH, and I fill DH, DS, and my mom's stockings. Plus my close friends' gift exchange and something for the people in my work group that I lead. Oh, and my Xmas angel from the angel tree and family that I sponsor through our homeless outreach.

Started decorating the house today. I had to buy a new tree so I'll get that tomorrow and decorate.

I love all this stuff so it's not a chore for me, the only stress is the money aspect and wanting to do/give more but not having the funds.

I’ve barely started, I’m so far behind. I’ve got our 5 kids, my parents, the in-laws, multiple family members, kids teachers, friends, etc. to buy for. So far I’ve got a few things, but I need to get a ton more.

Love this atmosphere. Like to prepare the gifts for my family and friends. U know all that fuss around. So exciting. One of the gifts is a surprise limousine hire Hammersmith trip. Imagine their faces when we pull up in style! Christmas truly brings joy and unforgettable moments

I have usually bought a lot more by now. I buy a pretty big amount of family gifts. My siblings and I all exchange gifts with each other (3 siblings, 3 in-laws), I have 2 toddler nieces and one 25 year old nephew, my parents (mom, dad and stepmom) all just in my family. I buy something small for the secretaries and custodians at work. We don't do any gifts with DH's family anymore at least. This is the first Christmas that DH and I have agreed not to get each other anything - in the past when I suggested it, he poo-pooed the idea. I am so glad he agreed because he is really hard to buy for.
