Christmas Shopping for Kids at Disney.

I'm thinking about taking an afternoon and doing some Christmas shopping while I'm at Disney in early December. I will not necessarily do any in the parks, as I will have the kids with me then, but I was thinking Downtown Disney, perhaps? I have little kids--any ideas? Oh,and my five-year old is obsessed with Toy Story. This is probably obvious, but I haven't really shopped there before.

Once upon a toy is a good place to look. What ages and what are they interested in?

Once Upon a Toy for sure, which is huge, and the World of Disney store is great too. Mickey's Mart is good because everything is under $10, and I always love Disney's Days of Christmas because I get my kids a new ornament every year and they love to get Disney ornaments. The Pin Traders is awesome too if you have kids who like to collect them. They have an incredible selection. We went right before Easter this year so one day I went to the hotel's gift shop while the kids were with Dad at the pool and got a bunch of stuff and hid it inside the box we had shipped down and was now empty. The next day when I was able to wrangle a few minutes in the room without them I quickly packed up a suitcase with the dirty clothes and stuck all the stuff from the furry white guy in the bottom under all the dirty clothes. It worked great.

I just thought of something else. Where are you staying. If you are on the monorail it is so easy to just hop on and go to Magic Kingdom for an hour or so to shop on Main Street. We have done that before too, and it's easy if you have the park hopper option. This of course only works well if you are at the GF, C or P.

We're staying at Ft.Wilderness, so we'll have easy access to our car

We havea 5 year old boy and boy/girl twins who will be10 months by Christmas.

We did some Christmas shopping on our WDW vacation. If we saw something the kids liked... one would take them out and one would 'buy it' you can have it sent to your hotel. No need to carry! We also found out that they ship as well. We bought DD5 the Cinderella Castle. It was a huge.. so we shipped it for all of $15!!!! That was it! We were thrilled. something to keep in mind if you find something larger! The smaller items (earrings, shirts, sweatshirts,etc ) we packed up with us.
