Christmas Shopping Already?

I always purchase things if it is for birthday gift, christmas gifts, or for exchanges...I have drawers and bins ready with items. When it comes to Christmas shopping, I buy things for friends throughout the year, but when it comes to immediate family, I wait till the month or two before since they are harder to shop for and I don't want to get something for my daughter that she won't be able to use, that she had gotten from someone, or will not like.

I've been having a hard time getting my family to decrease the gift-giving at Christmas, like Freetime mentioned, also. I have one girl and four boys, we really, really don't need anymore hot wheels cars! LOL I even asked for McDonalds gift cert. for them this past year (they would love to pay for themselves) but no one would do it, they felt bad not getting them toys. Their hearts are in the right place anyway.

Yeah, we worked for years to get our parents to decrease the gift exchange thing. Finally got it down to where our folks would just get something for the kids and we would send them new family photos (professional). Now that we moved near the in-laws we're stuck doing the big gift opening at Christmas and I looked like something of a shmuck when I didn't have a gift for each adult last Christmas. No one told me we were changing the gift exchange rules!!!!! So, now I'm back to doing a lot more searching for gifts. And I'm still expected to fork out the dough for photos too.

Did luck out and find Eddie Bauer pullovers on sale for the men today, though. With 50% sale prices and used a 20% coupon code to get three nice men's pullovers for $62 including shipping -- not bad for roughly $130 of merchandise. Plus, the men are the hardest to shop for and now they're done. -- yippee!
