Mike keeps wanting a Wii. but, I keep saying No sir!!! We have all that PSP stuff and it just keeps growing!! It will take over the house if I let it!!! If they got rid of the PS2 and the PS3, I would do the wii. But not now....too much $$$ and too many games and all that to keep up with. YIKES!!!!
Yes!!! come in Dec with me and Sheree!!!!!!! How fun!!!!
I am definitely gonna wait on ordering my little sweet pea anything for right now. Of course, I heard about the twins all day yesterday!!!!

Yes, it does take over the house. My living room now has 2 microphones, 5 guitars, and two sets of drums. (Rock Band and GH World Tour).

I've got to join in on this action! I always need ideas. Of course, this year it's going to be slim for the girls since we have our Dec. trip.
I'd love to see a TSMM Wii game! We already have carnival games - it's fun! DD8 is really good at those.

A good Wii game for kids is Mario Party 8. My DSD 11 and DS4 love it.

Good going girls!! I am super proud of you!! I started the thread...but no actual shoppin' yet!!!! But....we have had drought and heat wave here, so it's a little hard to get into the groove. Besides, dh is busy and I have been under the weather...he watches them for me usually on a Sat and I go get it all at once. It's just toooo hot to get out for extra stuff right now.We did get a little relief with some much needed rain...Praise the Lord We were really getting too dry. One of our local creeks you can pretty much walk all the way across it Kinda weird...especially since summer only has been official for a few weeks. So... when things line out, I may feel like getting out and shopping. I am gonna be watching for Lego sales, for sure...so if any of you hear of any pass them along!!!

I just saw a news story on this and I pray that y'all get the much needed rain. They showed pictures of lakes and rivers.

This year they want Disney wrapping paper....so I am on the hunt for that too.

I take the kids shopping to pick out their own wrapping paper: DSD usually gets something pink, DS4 gets green, and DS2 gets blue. I wrap their presents in their paper so I don't have to label everything.

You can find Disney paper usually at Dollar Tree. I also saw that Lakeside Collection has some in their catalog this year, but you have to order from them early, they take forever to ship.

I think we've decided that each child is only getting 5 presents this year and we're going to Great Wolf Lodge over Christmas break. So far this is what they're getting I think:

DD13: Vera Bradley purse (wallet for stocking), ipod dock/alarm clock, pj's, a video game, not sure what else.

DS11 (will be 12): Tracfone cell, digital camera, ipod dock/alarm clock/ pj's, a video game

DS10: digital camera, pj's, a video game, and not sure what else. He wants an ipod nano, but I'm not sure if he's responsible enough yet.

DS8: pjs, video game, no idea what else.

DS5: pjs, a tool bench, ripstick, a ds and a ds game

I was just at Target today and they did another huge mark-down! It was great! I got DS(will be 1) some Wow Wow Wuzby figures for $1.48 in a three pack! Ann a cute little boat for the tub for $1 and a alligator car type thing too for super cheap! They also had some stuff I got my DD8- clothes and they had some craft stuff too!

Also- the idea of Santa being downstairs that a previous poster said to do- we did that already! It was great! We did it when she was 5 or 6! She swears to this day that she heard the reindeer on the roof playing games! Santa also left her a letter last year as she was at her mothers for x-mas day, saying he was sad he missed her and he loved meeting her new baby brother! She was so angry that she missed meeting santa in her very own house when her brother got to!

They only had her in the HUGE set that had a barbie size doll of all of the princesses. Since we are currently in Princess overload from her July Bday party, I didn't get it but it was really cool to see her!

Have you guys checked out etsy.com? They have some really amazing stuff over there- all handmade or hand crafted items. I think if you had someone on your list that was hard to shop for, you could find something there! MOst of the sellers there do custom work to!

But I did find a Disney Princess Doll set that has the new Disney Princess Tiana! she is super cute and my DD3 went nuts over it! They only had her in the HUGE set that had a barbie size doll of all of the princesses. Since we are currently in Princess overload from her July Bday party, I didn't get it but it was really cool to see her!

Princess Tiana is out already????? Wow, when does the movie come out. Thought American Girl would be the only doll this year, but may have to get her Princess Tiana.

Hello ladies!! Well, we are looking through our wish lists lately...still haven't bought the kids anything yet!! Ha!! Gotta have a day with daddy to keep them away so I can hide all of it!!! We have a huge jump start on Xmas shopping thanks to the Target sale! There are only a few more things for us to get for DD and she is done! I even finished my best friend's DD's with the sale and started on the neighbor's daughter.

Oh and I love etsy.com!! I have bought several things off there.

I just started last weekend. DD (18) and the twins that are living with us this year (also 18) are done. The Coach Outlet near us was having a big sale and I had a coupon for another 20% off. I got a bag and matching wallet for DD and a bag for each of the other girls. Now its just stocking stuffers for them.

So now I am torn between getting my DD7 the 8GB or the 16GB IPod Touch. I doubt she will need the 16GB but I am trying to look down the road some... still it is an extra $100 dollars....

I'm debating on one for dd as well. She is at an age where she knows the truth (but has not admitted it) so I'm giving her an option of an iPod touch or a mini laptop. If she chooses the ipod I'm going with the 16. She got an 8G nano last year and she can't store all her movies, TV shows and music on it so she will definitely need bigger. I will be looking at refurbs at apple.com or elsewhere. Overstock sells refurbs and starting Aug 10 if you shop through bing.com you can earn up to 20% back. I have no idea what it would be for one but I'm definitely going to check it out.

The other gift could be for her bday, if you think she's is taking care of /responsible with whichever one you get for Christmas. Was that tooooo rambly? I think if it were my kid, the bday in March might be a let down if you give that much for Christmas...just my .02 cents!!!!
