I'm not so sure. We have stayed many, many times over the Easter break with AP discounts, and a few times over the Cristmas break with discounts. I'm hoping that this year is no different.
I have a bounceback booked which goes until 12/24--so that means it actually includes Xmas eve night. This was the bounceback in our room when we were there this December.
Last year, I was able to get a great rate through Magical Vacations. It was available during the week between Xmas and New Year's, and I think it ended up being about 40% or a bit more off of rack rate, but to get it, you could only stay at one of the resorts they had. Because our next trip will carry us into that period, I intend to get a second reservation with them when their rates for the holidays come out.
Last year I had this 40 or more % discount and I stayed cheaper for longer than I did in summer. I left on Dec 23rd. which was the last day of the promotion. That really rocked.
Thanks for the good news! Hopefully, good discounts will be available this year, too. Does anyone remember when you were able to book with those discounts? And Tam 1067--I haven't heard of that agency before. Were they nice to work with?

Yes! I will use them again without hesitation. One thing though--their rates are so good that you cannot buy the dining plan. Still, the rates are so good that it's worth it.
we are military and have booked the 40% off deal several times, and have never once been asked to prove we are military, now this would be wrong to exploit but if you know someone military who can get the discount it is a very good one we stayed prefered at pop for 57$ a night
Well, I called in June and they told me I had a pin code for 40% off any room - it was good from June until Dec. 31st, no black out days. We went for Christmas week. Very few people got this.
