Christmas Recipe

I am looking for a recipe and hope someone here can help. I'd like to make a Christmas Trail Mix type recipe for my Christmas baskets. I was thinking of including M & M's and peanuts but at a loss for what else would go well with those. Does anyone have any suggestions or favorite recipes you use? Thanks in advance!

My SIL made jars of trail mix last year and I shared mine with my mom (other side of the family). It was so good that my mom made some when ours was all gone. The best I can remember, it had M&Ms, peanuts, sunflower seeds, raisins, craisins, almonds, pine nuts and maybe a few pecans. There was probably something else in there I'm not thinking of. It doesn't sound good, but it really is delicious. I'm thinking of making some of these this year to give as gifts.

Seems like someone makes Christmas tree shaped pretzels that would work really well. Just balance the sweet and the salty.

This is what I did one year, and I have to say it was a big hit!

M&M's, yogurt raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, bag of dried fruit mixture, craisins, pretzel sticks. You can also use chocolate, butterscotch or peanut butter chips if you like.

I put them in large canning jars and cut a square fabric piece to go on the lid.

It was a cute and colorful gift!

I have also seen coconut in trail mix.

I'll have to ask her the specifics if you are interested
but I know it has pretzels, m&m's, chex cereal and some other stuff and she melts the white bark chocolate presses it all into a cookie sheet to cool then breaks it all up!
not nutrisious if thats what you are looking for - but YUMMY!
