Christmas Planning

Hi:

We decided to stick a little closer to home and drive to DL instead of flying five of us to WDW this December. We will be staying from 12/22 through 12/26, and I was wondering how many more of you dis'ers will be there at Christmas, and what special things are you planning?

Several years ago we spent Christmas at WDW. We brought our stockings to fill with gifts to open on Christmas morning, and I also brought a small 18" Disney theme Christmas tree to set up in our room. We want to do something similar for our stay at the Grand Californian this year. Does anyone have other ideas? Has anyone seen how they decorate the GC? I loved the way the Wilderness Lodge was decorated, so I am hoping it is similar at GC.

Anyone want to share their plans or experiences?

Well good for you, sounds like fun! As a local I stay as far away from Disneyland as possible during the Christmas holiday because of the huge crowds, but it IS a beautiful and magical place at that time! I'm sure the Grand Californian is decorated beautifully and enjoy your Disney holiday.

I stayed at the GC last holiday season and it was really neat. I dont think it is fair to compare it to WL at WDW as they are very different, although they both capture that awesome "grand lodge feeling" The GC is wonderful and I am sure that you will really enjoy your holiday there. I think that they do a great job of celebrating the Christmas season.
