This is our first trip to the Fort at Christmas (myself and hubby only), Dec. 13-23, 2012.

How does below look?

Any suggestions for changes and dinner choices would be very much appreciated.

Dec. 13th - DH & I only arrive at Fort Wilderness after 10-11 hour drive- keep in mind he's the only one driving the MH and will be tired

Dec. 14th - Rest AM & then EPCOT (EMH PM) w/ADR Dinner at 5PM for Candlelight Processional Pkg. at either Teppan Edo or Biergarten and stay until closing

Dec. 15th - Golf/Spa Day - Boardwalk Decorations - DTD

Dec. 16th - Chill 1/2 day, MK @ 4PM, eat early dinner at either Columbia House or Casey's Corner for MVMCP until closing

Dec. 17th - Enjoy the Fort; Bike over to Wilderness Lodge and maybe eat lunch there; GF Decorations; Fort Beach to watch water parade

Dec. 18th - EPCOT (EMH AM until we've seen what we missed on 14th); late lunch (2ish) at BC/YC Decorations; Celebration

Dec. 19th - Hollywood Studios w/ADR Dinner @ 5:30 Brown Derby (not going to see Fantasmic unless Christmas theme and if so, I'll change the time)

Dec. 20th - MK (EMH AM) w/ADR B'fast @ Crystal Palace or Be Our Guest (if open/if possible); leave around 4-5

Dec. 21st - Jupiter FL to visit family

Dec. 22nd - Rest day w/ADR Dinner @ Ohana's - DTD

Dec. 23rd - Drive home

Wow! You have certainly planned everything out.
I keep in mind a few things that I want to accomplish and just wing it.
It is just the difference in our personalities.
I make a few ADR's, but other than that I don't like to look at the time.

we plan for a park each day and early entertainment near dinner each night or a dinner show...i adore taking people to parts of Disney they have never seen or might night try as a newbie...we arrive the 8th-15th of Dec. so we will be crossing paths!..this time we are doing the cabins since I've become a TA I need to try them out for future clients lol!!!!! I'm kinda glad to be doing something different , hope the camper doesn't get mad at me and give me a hard time next trip lol
:hippie:

I was up feeding Maddie and dreaming of going back to the Fort so I of course had to get on the Dis to see what was new when I saw your post. I love your plans but you didn't mention the Lights at DHS. Don't miss those if they are there when you are. It was really cool to see.

I don't see a trip to DTD or a visit to other Resorts to see their decorations.

Thanks, I forgot to write down the lights @ DHS.

Hi!

I did list DTD on 12/15 and we probably will also go another evening.

I listed visiting the resorts to see the decorations on 12/15, 12/17, 12/18.

Thanks for checking to make sure that I had not forgotten them.

Looks good. You will be leaving the day after we arrive. We are going to be there the 22nd- jan 1st. I have been looking at the schedule and making my plans too. And from the looks of it I might even take a day or two away from parks. We have 7 day tickets but I might change. We also have annual passes for sea world so we are going to spend a couple of days there too. And of course we want to see the decorations at the other resorts too.

Since my DH is not the WDW fan like I am, I try to make him happy with a few chill days so he can play golf and enjoy his free time also. Plus since it's just he and I going this trip, we go at our own pace.

Ummmm,

kltigger,

that's a little too scheduled for me.

Early December before the week before Christmas is pretty crowd light so you could probably play it by ear.

Theme Parks aren't crowded.

DH can probably be placed with a foursome on a day or two's notice.

ADR's might tie you down but that's up to you.

You might just want to have a check-list, do whatever you feel like that day (or with 24 hours planning for ADRs, tee-times, etc). We did lunch ressies at Table Service restauarants in the parks with 24-hour notice back in March and had no problem getting a ressie (due prolly to the new ressie/cancellation policy).

Go where the wind blows you and punch out your bucket list.

At least, that's my two cents since you asked. :rolleyes1

Oops, I guess it was early. :cloud9:

Thanks for the suggestions. Normally I'm not that too scheduled, but since never been at Christmas, wasn't sure what would work the best. At least I have a back-upn plan to work with.

Again I'm up feeding Maddie and dreaming of Disney. I read the other post about ADRs locking you in to a schedule. When we went in November and let DS control the trip I had made breakfast and dinner ADRs for everyday. The night before DS said he wanted to sleep until he woke up on his own which meant we wouldn't be making our breakfast ADR. I went to cancel it and the CM told me that unless it was a Character meal to not worry about canceling and if we were late - even up to 2 hours to go anyway. They would sit us with little wait. It was true for two meals that ended up not working out the way I booked them - breakfast at Beach Club - 45 min late and lunch at Mama Melrose - 2 hours late.

I would have thought Disney would have :( on this but they were all really nice and flexable with our ADRs and with it being Thanksgiving with high crowds it still worked out.

Your going to have a great trip and I think your still going to be able to be flexable with your plans with your schedule. It looks great!
