I am trying to plan a Christmas trip for 11 of us. I'm going insane. I don't know what else to do! I have decided we'll do MGM on Christmas Day as to avoid the MK crowd. I really dont know that MGM is going ot be any better--- but hey it's worth a shot right? I did manage to get us Priority Seating at Mama Melrose's for 5:30 BUT now i'm nervous about having Italian for Christmas dinner LOL AND i've never been to this place-- is it good?

Also, on the 27th, I have reservations at Ohanas. They couldn't get us in though until 9:10pm!!! That's awfully late. Have any of you ever watched the fireworks from there? Is it worth it? OR is it much better to be at the castle itself? I guess i'm trying to figure out if I should make that our Epcot day finished with a Polynesian dinner or make it our MK day and just see the fireworks from there.

Any other ideas? Suggestions? Tips? I swear I'm going insane. I thought this trip was supposed to be FUN? LOL

We always had Italian for Christmas, my grandmother is half Italian and used to make her special lasagna every year :D We haven't been to Mama Melrose's yet, though, so I can't comment on that.

As for 'Ohana, we much prefer the view from the beach than from the restaurant, but we like the view from the restaurant better than the view from Main Street - mainly because of the lack of crowds.

When you say you prefer a view from the beach--- should I leave the table??? If our reservation is for 9:10pm.. will I have to leave? And will they let us back in? how does that work?

We just returned from WDW this past weekend--we were on the dining plan, could only make 7pm PS reservations each night, but, since we have little kids, we generally showed up at the restaurant at least an hour before the reservation. In fact, when we went to Ohana, I think our reservation was for 7:30 and we got there at 6 pm. At every restaurant, including Ohana, we were seated within about 15 minutes of when we checked in. So, if you really want to eat earlier to be sure to catch the fireworks at the end of your meal, just show up earlier. Also, if you have kids in your party, they will want to participate in the games, etc. that might be going on at Ohana at the same time as the fireworks. By the way, Ohana had the best food we eat at Disney.

We've been to Ohanas twice before and we always make sure to go back.Love it there.

It's good to know we can go a little earlier to possibly get sat earlier. It will be hard with a table for 11 though LOL 4 adults--- 7 kids

Oh, no, what I mean is that we make sure we eat earlier and go down to the beach after dinner. If it's not possible to get an earlier PS or to get seated earlier, then just watch the fireworks from the restaurant - I doubt they'd let you leave and come back.
