We're excited about our first MVMCP! Does Main Street really smell like peppermint? Any tips on how to make the most of the party would be greatly appreciated. We heard there is complimentary hot chocolate and cupcakes. Will all the Christmas decorations be up the week after Thanksgiving?

I never found Main Street smelled like peppermint during the party. You're probably thinking about the bakery. When you pass in front of the bakery any day, it smells so good. You can get free hot chocolate & a cookie, not a cupcake. There is "snow" on Main Street at certain times during the party, but don't eat it, it's soap, or at least tastes like soap. DH tried to eat it, he's silly.

Just can't decide if I want to spend so much for this party. We are going to celebrate my DD 40th birthday. There will be 5 adults. That's almost $500! We have never been for holiday time and don't want to miss anything but the price seems over the top. Any advice?

I think everyone should do it at least once. I'm so glad we went last year, but we don't feel the need to go again.

The fireworks are the best I have ever seen. We met Flynn and Rapunzel, got a cupcake "on the Mouse" and saw the parade twice. We used FP from 4:30-6:30, but didn't try to ride anything after that.

I know! There are 5 of us also, but the youngest won't need a ticket. Almost $400. I'm told it's worth it. I hope so! We're excited to find out.

MVMCP is one of my favorite events at WDW! Their is snow on Main Street, cookies & hot chocolate, an amazing parade and fireworks show! I agree with PP, everyone should do this at least once! It truly transforms into a magical place!! I hope you have so much fun! We are going again this Nov 15! :)

Most saying that it's worth it and must be done once don't seem to be going Christmas week when the parties sell-out. If we aren't arriving until close to Christmas so can only attend one of these last will-sell-out MVMCPs, is it still worth it or is it too crowded to enjoy? I'd be really bummed if I had to stake out a parade spot more than 45 minutes in advance...

If you're going to be there after the last party (which is December 22 this year), I wouldn't bother going to the party, especially if one of your priorities is to see the parade. After the last party, the daytime parade changes over to the Christmas parade.
