The Boo Bash is really disheartening so I hope the regular Christmas party happens with parades/fireworks. One can hope.... right?

Do the parties make the more money though? The after-hours events cost 2x-3x that of the parties, are much shorter, and require far less staffing.

Hard to know without the numbers, but the attendance estimates on MNSSHP and MVMCP has climbed as high as 30,000-40,000 guests in recent years (compared to estiamtes of 20.000 guests 15 years go), whereas the averge DAH event is believed to be ~4,000 people. But those could be highly inaccurate...only Disney knows. Certainly, the overhead is much higher for a MNSSHP with the show, parade, and fireworks. I think it is obvious that the parties are more popular ... and will probably return.

A year ago I would have agreed with you, but it doesn’t seem like Disney particularly cares how popular an event or experience is when deciding to axe it these days.
