me again.... :rotfl2:
righty ho.... christmas parades.
lookin at info for last xmas and trying to understand what will happen this xmas.... there will be the once upon a dream parade, with the extra xmas floats yes?
now as well as candleabration, there is the fantillusion parade ending with fireworks - is that right? so basically 2 parades - once upon a dream xmas & fantillusion, and 1 show - enchanted candleabration???? (got this from dlrpmagic site for 2007/2008)

im thinking, maybe instead of bonfire and only one christmas day in the park, maybe just go for early christmas (like 8th/9th november) and we wud get to see fireworks at the end of the parade....

am just unsure, as have no idea what to expect for either!! i guess that, even with the bonfire in the village (well, over the lake) that they will still do candleabration on that night?? i guess that wud be different to the one we just saw, as it was still light, but in november it wud be dark so guess more magical???

price diff it wud mean £50 more for the xmas bit, but wud also end up being more over a weekend, and elaine mentioned that during the week, not all the xmas stuff was on....

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek i just want to make a decision and get it booed so i can look forward, but as its a bonus trip, i want to make sure its gonna include the best i can.

so far, my choices are, wednesday 5th nov arrive and leave very late on saturday 8th nov - so get bonfire on 5th & 7th, and then xmas season starts on 8th - so 1 day of the xmas parades....

or

saturday 8th nov...... scuse that, just did another check on prices, and found arriving on sunday 9th november, it is £40 less for 3 nights!!! BUT - wud the christmas parades be on, on the monday, tuesday & wednesday, as it wud be the 1st week of the christmas season??

sorry - this is getting long :lmao: AND, as this trip is sposed to be ds1 birthday treat, wud it still be 'acceptable' to do the birthday cake when its a good 3 weeks after his birthday do u think??

come on great oracles - help me out!! i know the christmas wud be more magical, and that bonfire cud be cancelled if weather bad (and only has the fireworks extra) but wud we get fireworks in the xmas parades???

maybe if i phoned up and asked, wud they be able to tell me what shows there wud be, and if all xmas things would be done if we were that early in the season???

gonna go lie down.......

(can u tell im excited???????????)

Last year Fantillusion only ran on the weekends in November and there are no fireworks afterwards in the Christmas season, on the weekend we were there the park was open until 10.00 Saturday and 9.00 Sunday - Fantillusion was on about 1/2 hour after the Enchanted Candelabration finished. Offhand I think the EC was at 6.00 and Fantillusion at 7.00pm, certainly the park was open after Fantillusion because we went to do PM in the dark the first night and then we rode Buzz the second before going back to the hotel.

The Enchanted Candelabration is very nice, the cast all have on their Christmassy outfits and the Prince & Princesses are in it too.

The parade was the normal OUAD and a few extra Christmassy floats and dancers at the end and of course the Father Christmas float.

If you're going for a weekend then I'd recommend as early in November as possible, we went around the 23rd and it was manic.
