Christmas Parade

Hi Everyone.

I'm new to this forum so I hope this is the one to ask this one. Anyways, every year I watch the Disney Christmas parade on TV and say to myself I would just love to be there once. Now, recently I heard you need to be invited in order to be there. Is this true? And if so, how do you get invited? Do I need to know someone? It just looks like so much fun and if the opporunity arises I would love to go.

So, if anyone knows the secret to getting in let me know.

I know that the Christmas parade is not held on Christmas Day. It was taped the weekend of the 9th maybe. You don't need to be invited to watch the parade, it just means being at the right spot at the right time. So, if you are in the parks the day it's being taped, then you could possibly be on tv.

Most of it was taped Dec 5, 6 & 7. Some parts were taped earlier or later (Star Jones was the week before I believe). I think they do invite some "extras" but anyone can stand along the parade route. It's not as fun as it looks. There's alot of stop and start and repeating scenes, it takes several hours.

Wow, I didn't know it was taped before. Makes sense though. So pretty much planning on being there really would be a hit or miss thing. Kind of ruins it know that it was all done before though. Oh well, I still love watching it.

I happen to hit it last year.... through out the day there was alot of start & stops...then at 5pm (or 4) they had 1 run through with no stops...... that was when I happen to see Lizzy McGuire aka Hillary Duff....my daughter loves her ... (she stayed at the room with Dad and missed the parade) got a pic for ...didn't turn out too good. Oh well....I had always wanted to be there for the "Christmas Morning" parade...now my next step is to be there on Christmas Morning.....maybe when my kids are all grown and out of the house... for now...we MUST be in our house for Christmas Morning!!!

The Christmas Parade runs every night for MVMCP. It wasn't exactly all of the same units shown on Christmas Morning but most of it was there. I don't remember seeing The Haunted Mansion unit at MVMCP.
