Christmas Parade Taping

When is the parade taped in the MK? Is it taped every year? Was last year the only year that they also taped the Travel Channel's Christmas at Disney or do they also tape this every year? If it is taped on Saturday again does it just increase the crowds for that day or the whole weekend, including MVMCP on Saturday/Sunday? Thanks.

I heard that Sat 4th Dec was the taping date this year

It is historically taped the first Sat of Dec....which would make Dec 4th a good guess

I don't think enough people really know when it is taped to make a huge difference...

It is usually the first weekend of December but you never know. I was there last year and MK was extremely crowded. Don't know if it had any effect on MVMCP or not. We went earlier in the week. Typically the weekend MVMCP's are busy anyway.

We went this past year and enjoyed it, HOWEVER if you want to see the taping, wear good comfy shoes, dress in layers (it was FREEZING that morning, but hot in the mid morning), bring drinks/snacks/etc. Once you grab a spot there is no chance of moving or you'll be out of luck. They only allow so many people in the roped off areas.
We were on the clip with Robin Roberts, we did sit for 5 hours in one spot for the chance though...lol! Here was my thread about our experience.

We went to the other parks after MK and they were not that bad.
