Christmas Parade schedule???

I know this it is probably way too early (didn't we just celebrate Christmas in July!), but has anyone heard anything about when the Christmas parade and entertainment will be taped? Or about when this info might be known?

I think the past few years they have filmed it before thanksgiving. Prior to that is used to be the week after thanksgiving.

I have zero inside knowledge but I'm planning for it to be the weekend of Nov. 11/12.

Hopefully Disney will release this info sooner rather than later.

I can't imagine they would do it over a 3 day Federal Holiday weekend.

Maybe not. I'm just going by last year. It was Nov. 9-13.

The guessing game is starting to suck though (and not just with the parade recording dates). I'm a non-planner but I'd like to plan to not be at the MK that Saturday

Was it last year or two years ago that they didn't film any of the parade at WDW and only did musical shots throughout ALL the parks?

Yes - I think they filmed in Anaheim last year.

That's correct. They filmed the actual parade in DL on 11/16. They also filmed the Mariah Carey segment at Small World that evening.

Last year, the only time Main Street was closed off was for The Descendants segment for their Holiday special.
