Christmas Overlays and Special Attractions

I'm planning on being in WDW during the holidays for the first time, after having been more than a dozen times during the summer months....I was disappointed to find out that the Haunted Mansion overlay is only in Disneyland and Tokyo Disney...that was the attraction I was most looking forward to seeing all dressed up for Christmas.

Are there any other attractions that are especially different during the Christmas holidays?

They do a really spectacular "It's a Small World" Christmas Overlay at Disneyland. Of the two (Haunted Mansion/Small World) I would love to seem them do something like this at the World. Disneyland might be smaller overall, but they seem to do things more spectacular.

So the Small World overlay is only at DL too? Well, at least we have the Country Bear Jamboree at WDW, right??? (I hope we do!)

I don't think that they are doing the Country Bear Christmas Show this year. At least this is what I heard this morning on "Inside the Magic."

This will be our first time to WDW during Christmas too! We go every summer, but can't wait to see all of the Christmas decorations and shows!!

The Jack Skellington Haunted Mansion X-mas at DL is really kool!!! We go all the time. I wonder why they don't do it at MK? And the word around the board is no X-mas country bears show. There is a thread going round regarding that topic.

NO, WDW has pulled the plug on this year's Country Bear Christmas Special. I received a call from a WDW cast member this afternoon regarding an e-mail I sent several weeks ago. She confirmed that the Christmas version would not be taking place this year. She further commented that Disney had received alot of complaints regarding the cancellation this year and it might return for 2007.
