Christmas or Thanksgiving???

I have a question for all of you very knowledgable people. We have scheduled a trip for Dec 27-Jan 1 staying at the Contemporary with the Magic Kingdom View. However, now we are starting to wonder about going at Thanksgiving. My husband is a teacher and these are the only times we can go. This is the first trip for our DD2 and I want her to enjoy herself. So if you had to choose which time frame would you choose? Which time frame would be less crowded? Thank you so much in advance for all your help.

Either time is crowded... Christmas time in general is the best time to go as Disney does Christmas right - but there will be crowds. Unfortunately you indicate your husband is a teacher - as the the two weeks prior to Christmas are the least crowded. If you live in the north, as we do - you'll enjoy the weather, even if it is crowded. have fun!
