Christmas or spring break?

We're planning our trip to Disneyland, we have been 5 times, always at Christmas. It makes sense for us money wise and because my husband is a school principal. However, at the moment we have strong willed 17 month old and I'm rethinking the trip. We drive from BC. I'm wondering if it'd help us have a more enjoyable trip if we postponed it until spring break. Which for us is March 12-March 29. Anytime in those dates.
Since we've only ever been over Christmas, I'm wondering which everyone would recommend? Is it less busy in March?

That's Spring Break here too. Just about as busy without the lovely decoration. Personally Spring Break is the only time of year I avoid DL. I would take xmas anyday.

I've never been during spring break I'm 2016 Will be our first time. I really love the Xmas decorations, holiday treats & Christmas parade so, I personally prefer the Christmas time to go but if you have never been during spring break before I say why not. The crowds will be about the same.

I think if you go the earlier part of your spring break you'll find less crowds than Xmas. Spring break is such a variable from one school district to another yet Xmas break falls at the same time for everyone (or close to the same anyway). We are from WA and our spring break isn't until the week of 4/11, a week later than normal which I think is because of the late start to the school year since we start after Labor Day.

I'd go the first week of your Spring Break. Easter isn't until the last week of March, so the heaviest time will be the week before, of, and after Easter. It will be nice for you to have an almost 2 y/o instead of a one and a half year old. Plus, you'll get to see some different things since you'll be going at a different time of year than you usually go.
