Is the Christmas decor at WDW a don't miss thing? We were thinking of doing early Dec. 06, but after a little investigation, we're considering February for possible lighter crowds, which is our main priority. However, we've never seen the Christmas decorations, anyone have an opinion?

the Christmas decorations are beautiful and if you go ealry enough in Dec then you wont get alot of crowds. Christmas time is my favorite time of year to go, besides my birthday....

Early December is a good time to go to Disney World. The crowds are low and the decorations are great.

Very early February would have low crowds but crowds begin to pick up as you get closer to Presidents Day. I'd pick December.

If you've never been around the holidays, you probably should go to WDW and see the decorations at least once. Personally, I prefer WDW when it isn't decorated for the holidays. Do some searches and check out the decorations and see what you think. We usually go Nov or Dec but last year also went in mid Feb. Feb crowds may have been a bit lighter. Weather was absolutely perfect then but that is a hit or miss thing. Enjoy whenever you decide to go! :)

I think that the holiday season is my favorite time to go. Pop warner should be over or close to being done,so the crowd level IMO should not be that bad. Its a must see atleast once in you life, you won't regret it after you see all the beautiful lights.

Early Dec. usually is uncrowded and the ambiance is not to be missed. The parks are beautiful and have special shows. The resorts are decorated and have Christmas music. You have to do the Epcot Processional. It is a candlelight service with celebrity narrator and makes Christmas special. There is a "santa" as traditional for each country and they tell stories. Mk has a Christmas country bears and parade that is neat. MVMCP is not to be missed. Also the Osbourne lights at mgm are unbelievable. Each resort is special with roasted chestnuts, giant gingerbread houses/ etc. I have been to DW at least once and usually more annually since 1971. The most crowded trip was February. We couldn't ride anything even in epcot! WL has sleigh rides!

I have been early December twice and early February twice and I won't go again in February. I am sure it is just my experiences but, ---one time in Feb it was cold, cold, cold/rainy and the other time it was super crowded and got frigid the last day of that trip, too. When we went in December we would go for 5 days, inclusive of the second week end in December. Of course the week end days were "busy" but it was still great. I love WDW dressed up for the holidays!!!
