Christmas Lists

all DD13 asked for was felicity and elizabeth (american girl dolls). santa is bringing felicity, and my grandmother bought her elizabeth. DH and i bought her a nook, 3 computer games, 2 nintendo DS games, a pair of minnie mouse 10K earrings and an outfit from ON. santa will fill her stockings with a flavored lip balm, spin pins, hair elastics, hand lotion, a new ON scarf, and hard candy.

Update... did some investigative work last night and DD7 doesn't even want the dumb doll now. she wants a cabbage patch baby. How simple is that. It seems to be harder to shop for the kids that want nothing than the kids that have a wish list! What 'cha gonna do!

My "child" is 17 and wants TV DVDs ONLY. They are EXPENSIVE though! :scared1:

I'm also getting him a letterman jacket and a DVDirect. I wanted to get him the Xbox Kinect but that'll wait till his bday.

Robinrs, I don't know what TV series he is looking for, but Netflix streaming has a ton of TV series. It's $8 a month for the streaming service but you do need a device that can access Netflix.

Just a thought. I am so over buying a bunch of DVDs and we love Netflix.

My sons lists are getting better each year. The first year he made a "list" he asked for a giant coffee pot and a chainsaw. :rotfl: I think he was around 4 at the time.

One year he asked for stilts. I was :confused3 to say the least. I got him a kids sized pair, and he still plays with them. Go figure.

This year he has asked for the usual legos, nerf gun, wii games etc. Also thrown in the mix are batteries, a six pack of rootbeer, a drill, dove chocolates, and a belt with spikes on it.

:lmao:

Thanks for the laugh this morning. :rotfl2:

When my DS was turning 2, everytime someone asked him what he wanted for Christmas he would say "diet coke." It was so funny when he sat on Santa's lap and told him he wanted diet coke. He was so little that he wasn't really talking in complete sentences yet. :rotfl: Needless to say he did not get his diet coke!

This year that same DS asked for a puppy. Um no. Not going to happen!

DS 17 hasn't asked for much. As far as I remember the only things he asked for are Call of Duty Black Ops, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (video games), and Airplane dvd.

So far I've got him:

1. North Face jacket (he casually mentioned wanting one and then when I was shocked by the price, he didn't mention it again).
2. North Face day pack
3. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
4. Call of Duty Black Ops
5. A fun little magic kit
6. A zombie movie (can't remember name of it now)
7. Zombie tshirt
8. American Eagle hoodie
9. Police Academy dvd and will get Airplane, too.
10. A shower head that turns water red or blue depending on temp.
11. Discraft hat (he plays Ultimate Frisbee)
12. Sleep pants, a Goonies tshirt (to sleep in) and a book of funny signs from all over the world*

And I think there are a few more I'm not thinking of.

*We have a tradition that the kids each open a present on Christmas Eve. It's always a new set of pajamas and a book.

DSjustturned8

Asked for Kinect for xbox360, video watch, pictionary man, punching bag and boxing gloves, Mindflex, Microscope, Chemistry set, Paperjamz, and a bunch more that I can't think of right now. Oh, he also asked for a turkey baster, but has since bought himself one. He's a strange kid.

Got him:

1. Kinect - still have to get at least one game to go with it
2. Dsi game (logic puzzles - his favorite)
3. Microscope set
4. Pictionary man
5. Punching bag and boxing gloves
6. Paperjamz guitar
7. Tower of Terror tshirt (from laughing place - he really wanted one last time at WDW and we forgot to get it).
8. little art kit
9. the color changing shower head like his brother got
10. A duck hunting laser game
11. Cotton Candy maker
12. Pajamas and a Worst Case Scenario book for kids

And I think I'm forgetting about a couple of things for him, too. Santa is giving them the North Face stuff and the Kinect for us.

My little girls only had a few things on their list but the top 3 were all the same. An iTouch, nintendo ds, and some other handheld toy. I am having a huge problem getting them any of that at 6 and 7 years old! I just feel bad that they won't be getting their big gift they asked for from Santa. I'm thinking American Girl dolls instead... Lame?:confused3

You have to do what you feel comfortable with. Personally, we always try to get them what they ask for from Santa (two years ago my, then, six year old asked for fake blood - do you know how hard it is to get fake blood at Christmastime?! I finally found it, though!).

If you can't do it, though, you can't do it.

My son will ask for poptarts :lmao:(he had one when vacationing with another fmaily once and has had them since only as gifts--).

My son has asked Santa for bacon every year since he was 3. Two years ago he added fake blood to the list.

I don't ever remember my daughter having strange requests like that. She's 18 now. She wants clothes, a bamboo tablet, a couple of anime movies, a several other things.

First, I wanted a pair of stilts as a kid and my mother nixed that idea worried I'd fall and knock my teeth out or something equally as awful :headache:. I was sooo thrilled when my BGF's (best girl friend) little boy scored my childhood dream toy one year. She accused me of putting him up to asking for them but I had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Second, have you seen the reindeer rootbeer craft?: http://lisajostudio.blogspot.com/2008/12/reindeer-rootbeer-sucker-free-tag.html

DS18 is in college and wants gift cards to Walmart, Target and Subway

DD15 wants Just Dance, Just Dance 2 and Karaoke for Wii and IPod speakers. She already got to see Wicked as part of her Christmas present. We are getting her the Just Dance and Karaoke for Wii and I got her an alarm clock with an Ipod dock on it.

DS15 is getting his letter jacket and a few small things-not sure what. He never asks for anything so he is hard to buy for. He also asked for IPod Speakers (they share some now). Grandma and Grandpa are getting those.

I found some fleece sleep pants for the twins that are in our school colors with a school emblem (by chance) so they are getting those. I also got the twins Itunes gift cards at Walmart when they had $50 gift cards on sale for $35.

DD11 is getting an ipod touch (she's successfully had a nano for 3 years). She's also getting some clothes, calendar, and other miscellany. A surprise will be parakeet paraphenalia and PetSmart gift card (we'll pick out after Christmas), and a cell phone.

We had nixed the cell phone on her list, but we've decided to have her start coming home instead of going to the afterschool program she's gone to since 1st grade, so it's a bit for safety as well.

DS16's requested all sorts of paintball stuff, but he's not getting any of it. He is getting a new PS3 (his old one is the 1st gen 40gb and it stopped working about 6 months ago). He's also getting a leather jacket (75% off!) and a snowboarding jacket. I've also got an ipod classic for him (he's been using a shuffle since April, when he accidently left his iPod touch (that he'd paid for) in the wash. I can't decide whether to give it to him now or wait until his birthday next month. I'll have to see once all of the gifts are sorted and wrapped.

What is DVDirect?

DS14 has asked for iTouch, Northface jacket, iHome, iTunes, Black Ops, Skull candy headphones, Fly like a G 6 Neff tee, UA sweatshirt & Otterbox for the iTouch. I already gave him the jacket. a few wks ago we had -18 degree weather, he needed it. On BF I got the iTouch, headphones & Black OPs. But I have gotten everything on his list.

DS10 has asked for a PSP, Nerf Stampede, Skull candy headphones, iTunes, a skateboard, and a metal detector. Luckily great BF deals I was able to get everything, well except the skateboard, but he will be getting that.

I don't usually ask for a lot of things and sometimes I don't always get what is on their lists. But this year I was able to get good deals on BF.

DD2 months~ Is getting a Cabbage Patch baby & Ocean Wonders jumper thing. And maybe a Bumbo. I wanted to get her her first American Girl doll, but really at that price for a doll I decided not to.
