on tree ? and house ?

do you like it to be carefully coordinated (in colors) or just a Hodgepodge of random colors ?

I like house to be coordinated but the tree I like it be a colorful mess

No lights on house, DW says it's a waste of energy. Dunno if I concur but I sure don't want to climb up the ladder to put 'em up so I agree. The tree has the miniature clear lights but I think it needs something else.

I don't decorate for the holidays at all. I don't even bother with a wreath anymore.

clear lights on tree.......built into it
blue icicle lights on house

Clear lights on my tree, clear lights on the bushes/trees in front of the house (no lights on actual house). Some years when I have the energy I decorate my backyard deck with colored lights.

On the tree and on the house. And in the yard.

Multicolored on the tree.

Specific decorations on the house/yard. And set to a pattern of on/off sequences.

Doesn't look like multicolored lights here, but the icicles are multi, and the big tree on the right is, also. And all the lights around doors/windows and on the small trees. The big bulbs on the roof have a random pattern sequence (red, green, blue, and white). All the lights on the trees are multicolored and run in sequence, also. And the lights around the windows and door frames. The Merry Christmas flashes alternately "Merry" and "Christmas" with "Merry Christmas" The snowflakes over the garage are random solid lights, flickering lights, or flashing lights. The little Christmas trees (you can only see a few of them in the lower left, have their own on/off patterns.

Multicolored led lights on tree plus white snowflake lights on tree.

Twinkling white icicle lights around eave of front porch.

Multicolored led lights on smaller tree in dining room.

Fiber optic mini tree in son's bedroom.

DH is in charge of house lights, so some years we don't have them if he doesn't get around to them. We had icicle lights for years, but last year we switched to rainbow big bulbs.

The tree was pre-lit just white lights til the cat chewed though the wire and we had to string lights. So this year it's white and blue.

LOVE IT! Wish I lived near you and passed your house every night. :)

White lights outside, not blinking.

Multi-colored on the tree is my favorite, but really anything goes for that. We sometimes experiment year-to-year.

Oh, wow, I love it! I wish I could do that! How long does it take to set it up?

I live in a condo, so the only lights are on the balcony and they are white. Inside, the tree, wreath and garlands are a combination of white and multicolor

Well, when my husband was working, he'd work on it every weekend a few hours starting on Thanksgiving. By Christmas we had most of the display up.

He's retired this year, so we'll have more time to get more up. He's already decided to change out the Merry Christmas lights for a new one (with led lights). And I have a new Olaf inflatable to add.

We hire a holiday decorator to do it each year for us. We can request colors and themes, but this year we're giving them full control. They're spectacular and I more than trust their choices. This year will be indoor and outdoor.
