There is a documentary on Disney+ titled Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic and it shows how they decorate. They do the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland each in a single night.
That's actually a bit of "slight of hand". They would target the easier decorations with the quickest install time and get those done in the first night (the items with the highest "return on investment"). The park would have the perception of being decorated overnight. But in reality, they would continue to add more overnight for days, even weeks, to get the rest of it up. I speak in the past tense, because installs seemed to be starting sooner and ending later, with no "single night" change even before COVID.
But the Castle, as already noted, that takes over 2 months. The crane would appear in late August be remain through October as they install the Dream Lights and faux snow.
