Do you see any safety issues with this? I'm thinking about looping Christmas lights along the metal poles, using outdoor lights, and only turning them on while we're there. Thanks everyone!

:santa: :santa:

The only issue I see is using electrical connections around metal, if a short happens and someone touches the pole it could be bad. What about low voltage lights aroun the tent in someway or around the trees. I've seen the trees decorated around the campgrounds.

We have an ez up shelter that came with rope lights to wrap on the underside of the canvas. I'm not sure if those are the same kind VAN is talking about, but they're really nice!

You can google rope lights.

We always hang camping lights around the top of our tent! We use wire ties to attach the string to the poles that go around the top. I would think Christmas lights would be the same thing. :confused3

There is really no problem at all. I'm at Ft. Wilderness right now in Loop 2000, and there are many sites set up with lights strung on the tents, awnings, and EZ Ups. I'll take some pictures and post them in a bit.
