christmas lighting around stateroom door?

Hi! I wanted to decorated our stateroom door frame with some LED battery operated Christmas lights. I was going to either hang the lights along the door frame OR attach magnets to the lights and stick them to the door.

Do you think this is possible? Will it work?

You can use magnets. You cannot use tape or any other kind of adhesive.

I was going to get magnet hooks and kind of wrap them around, instead of trying to anchor magnets on the wires.

Last week, I saw some Halloween lights done by threading them through magnetic hooks and a tiny battery box hanging off the side.

You could also use colorful magnetic clips (holding up paper). You don't need a 25 lb. load-bearing hook!

We hung strings LED battery operated lights around our doors on the Magic for a Merrytime Cruise in 2018. We did it again this summer on the Fantasy. We had 3 staterooms and also hung lights between the doors. I just purchased small magnetic hooks from Amazon. Not only was this permitted, but a couple people on our hallway stopped us and mentioned that they loved being able to know they were close to their staterooms when they saw our lights!

I was glad that I brought extra batteries, as I needed to change them when the lights went out!

We hung battery-operated Halloween lights on our door in October using magnets. Everyone loved our door.
