Christmas lawn Decorations

Inspired by the Christmas tree thread. Have you put up your lawn decorations yet? Would love to see some pictures!

On the drive down from the lake Sunday afternoon (when I moved back here for the winter), I saw wreaths on doors - but nothing on the lawns yet.. Lights were probably up too (here and there we had some pretty warm days in November), but since it wasn't dark, they weren't on..

Can't wait until everyone has their lawns and homes all decked out for the holidays so we can take a drive around and see them.. One of the many Christmas traditions I love.. Hopefully there will be at least a light coating of snow on the ground too - makes them look much prettier!

ooohh, I thought this was the thread about the neighbor woman who decorated her yard year round, and we were going to see Christmas! Didn't she have mannequins in the yard?

There is a neighborhood near-by where nearly every house gets decorated. Their Homeowners Assn has a competition with a cash prize too. It's also one of the neighborhoods I told our Realtor that we'd like to look in to when we move.....hmmmm - maybe not - too much pressure!

When our kids were little, my co-leader in Cub Scouts made Disney Christmas cut-outs for her lawn. Her husband cut them out, she painted them.

Yes! She decorated for every holiday, and she was a very elderly woman, I think. She lived near someone and they posted the pictures....it was a while ago. I forget the posters name who posted the pics, I think the woman ( who decorated ) may have passed away...
