In unpacking my christmas decorations today, noticed I haven't bought any new ones in quite a few years. Looked at Kohls, michaels, walmart and haven't seen anything I like. Where do you get your inside christmas decorations for around the house?

Well last year I hid the pickle and forget where so I never found it.

This year I will get a new pickle from maybe Kohls.

A lot of mine were passed down from family, or have been gifts.

If you're looking for something different, maybe try the craft fairs that spring up this time of year. - You might find some hand-made item that just draws your eye.

Hallmark tends to have some cute things, too.

I found a few cute things I liked at Kohls.. not as many as Ive gotten in past though.. I got a few things at Kirklands, Michaels, and JcPenney.. Going to Disneyworld tomorrow..:cool1: and planning on picking up a few new decorations there also..

I also got a cute Mickey Snowman from Walgreens that lights up.. the other decorations I got were not disney related, but this one was really cute..

I bought more things than I realized this year.. I decided to decorate my bathroom this year so I had to get quite a bit for that.. Cant wait to get back from WDW so I can decorate..

My house is done in "sections". The family room is the Santa room - we have an artificial tree with only santa or santa hat ornaments (like snoopy wearing a santa hat). On the cabinets I have 5x7 and 8x10 gold framed pictures of my girls with Santa since they were babies (currently the girls are 12 and 14) - I may need to buy more cabinets soon!!! Around the photo frames are little Santa statues, etc. This is my favorite section! I love looking at my girl's pictures!

The buffet in the Dining Room is snowmen on the top, Nuckcrackers on the shelf and a village scene on the main part. A small bookcase has all my Disney Christmas items. The living room has the religious items - nativity scenes, angels.

So what I like is grouping all that stuff that doesn't do much on it's own.

Now, what have I bought in the past years? Greenery and lights! Mostly from Target -- but each year I bought more and all the tops of my kitchen cabinets, computer amoire, staircase got greenery and lights. I also bought funky burgundy and gold ornaments and gold wire bows to decorate the greenery.

Good luck and buy what you like!

oh and also got a few things from Hallmark the other day.. I agree with the craft fair.. a local high school was sponsoring one today by my house, but I decided not to go since Ive already gotten too much this year.. but I went last year and they had alot of cute stuff..

I make most of mine. This year I redid the center piece and a new wreath for above the fire place. I still have the garland for the mantle from when I made it last year. Next year I hope to do more.

Otherwise the decorations are most handed down from our family with a few new things from Pier 1.
