Okay, my brother, me and a few friends are headed to the world Dec. 18-24th. This is going to a very, very low budget trip as we're all poor college students. This is, actually, my christmas present to my brother too.. so I'm ultimately footing the bill and wanting to do things cheap, cheap, cheap!
I'm a passholder so I've already gotten the room taken care of with the Best Rate Program ($59 a night, I almost cried it was such a wonderful surprise- I usually go in peak season!)
Basically, I wanted to know if there were any special Holiday "treats" throughout the parks other than Mickey's Party (as I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get money for tickets to this- can Annual Passholders get discounted tickets for their entire group or just themselves? If at all possible, I'd love to complete the experience with Mickey's Party..but I'm not sure it's a realistic dream.)
Also, since there will be 4 of us in the room we don't plan to spend much time there.. but will POP have holiday decorations? If not, I thought I might bring some of my own.. My grandfather died Christmas morning last year so I'm trying to make this Christmas PERFECT for the both of us.. and Christmas isn't Christmas without decorations! Anyone have any ideas of things I could do?
Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated~~

The parks are decorated, they play holiday music. The parades have a holiday theme. I don't think there are discounts for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If possible, you should try to get to some of the deluxe resorts for the Christams decorations. On the Resorts Board, someone posted their photos of many resorts. Sorry, I'm not handy enough to give you a link.

I think you have enough days planned and the parks are open late on some nights that you don[t really need to go to Mickey's Christmas Party.

The resort common areas are decorated but the rooms are not. Feel free to ride the buses to other resorts and admire the decorations and architecture, although you may not use the swimming pools at other resorts.

You are going in the holiday season, you lucked out since your resort stay begins in the low period and your $59. rate continues past the start of the holiday rate period until you check out.
