Christmas in disney world

I have visited Orlando twice before but have never been in December. Will I be able to use the water parks or is it too cold? Should I wear trousers or shorts during the day.Where is the best place for Christmas dinner?Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The weather can be "iffy", I've gone and its been pretty cold and then other times it has been nice.
The water at the water parks is heated, and plenty of people do go.
Generally I wear shorts in the day time, but in the evening you definately need long pants and at least a sweat shirt.
Around water, like watching illuminations or taking the ferry or the boats it can get cold at night.

I agree the weather can be iffy. The first few days we were there last December (we were there from 16-30th) it was freezing cold! The mornings and late evenings are nippy so you will need long trousers and a hoodie. I wouldn't recommend a water park - when we went in Jan 2004, DH caught a very nasty cold. Christmas is a great time to go - decorations everywhere, the Christmas party, Osbourne Lights at MGM etc. Oh and do some resort hopping - the decorations at the different resorts are wonderful. Christmas Day last year we spent it at MK and had early breakfast at Crystal Palace and a late lunch (4pm time) at Cinderella's Royal Table and it was brilliant - the only thing that wasn't so good was the weather. It poored down and we got absolutely soaked - we didn't let it spoil our day though!

Hi, like others said here Dec can vary alot each year. Ive had 90F to a high of 50F. I would suggest checking the web site of a local TV station the week before you arrive to see whats happening. And take in the candlelight processional in epcot if you love christmas music. Lots of fun things to do. Im hoping someone sets up a dis meet when im down there.
