Share your recipes and what type of ham do you buy? I am going shopping tomorrow afternoon for mine... and the things I need for my side dishes! :santa:

We usually buy a Honeybaked ham and then I serve it with green beans, rolls, potato caserole and a small salad.

I bought a Smithfield spiral sliced ham with honey glaze last week- 9 lbs for $13, pretty good deal. It was fully cooked & sliced, so easy to follow directions on the pack of glaze, tasted good too. It fed 4 of us 2 days, plus fed 4 hungry guys at work, so it would serve 12 people easy.

I usually buy the Honey Baked one, but I bought the Publix version, its just as good and cheaper.:thumbsup2 I have Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans also rice and a veggie.;)

I got a Thorne Apple Valley spiral sliced honey and brown sugar ham at Meijer yesterday for $1.79 a pound. I got an 11 pound ham for about $20. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I'll just cover it with foil and heat it up. I'm thinking I'll go with cole slaw (that's always good with ham) and of course cheesy potatoes. We'll also have deviled eggs, rolls. That's about it. Oh, and a beef tenderloin for the grown-ups! And much wine and merriment. :)

I buy from Sam's Club a full boneless Smithfield Black forest ham. It's not spiral sliced. It is not cheap initially, an approx 10 lb ham goes for about $32but we can get multiple meals on it. It is simply the best ham we've ever had. There isn't an ounce of fat on this ham.

We are also having a ham for dinner and I wasn't sure what sides to serve. Thanks. :goodvibes

Wellshire Farms last year -- was really expensive but we only have ham once a year.

Whole bone in ham - 20#'S
I diamond cut the rind and place whole cloves into the diamond points.

apple cider vinegar
Brushed on in the last 1/2 hour of baking it forms a crispy crust - I also serve the glaze on the side for the glaze hounds in the crowd

Side dishes:
Scalloped potatoes
Carrot, pineapple and raisin salad
Green bean casserole - I prefer fresh green beans w/bacon but I have been overruled by the majority;)
Asst. Rolls
Asst. pies
Asst. cookies

Honey Ham from Food Lion got on sale for 1.57lb.
Mac and cheese
potato salad
green beans
devil eggs
cake

Superior Tavern Ham-glaze of pineapple juice and brown sugar. Bake in Reynolds cooking bag. Side dishes: scalloped potatoes, green beans, cinnamon apples, rolls, and relish tray.

The Butchers Cut Spiral Glazed Ham from Von's.
It was free from work. It's 8.5 lbs which is a lot of ham for a family of two! I always serve the same thing with it...

Scalloped Potatoes
Fresh Green Beans Almondine
King's Hawaiian Rolls

Some sort of dessert, usually pie.

Then ham sandwiches until we are sick of them.

I am making a ham as well. I have a full non spiral bone in ham. I am making a glaze with maple syrup, honey and pineapple juice.

Sides will be:
Crescent rolls
Twice baked potatoes with bacon and cheese
mushroom casserole
green bean casserole
corn
Salad of some kind

Spiral Ham/Smoked Turkey

Mashed Potatoes and two types of gravy (turkey and then a sweet ham one)

Corn Bread Stuffing/Praline Sweet Potatoes/DH's special potato salad

String Bean Casserole/Broccoli with cheese/Corn on Cob

rolls/blue berry muffins

Fruit salad/veggie tray/deviled eggs/mixed nuts/three kinds of popcorn and a beef/cheddar/mustard tray

Pecan Pie/Apple Pie/ Pumpkin Pie

Iced Sugar Cookies/Peanut Butter with Hershey Kisses cookies/Chocolate Chip with pecan Cookies

Wine/Tea/Milk/Soda

I think that is it....lol! It lasts about four days

This year I got a spiral cut half ham for DH and I. I will bake it with a glaze of pineapple juice, brown sugar, and cloves. We'll have smashed red potatoes (I LOVE that I don't have to peel them!!), and bread of some kind. Maybe some corn or a salad, too, if I want a veggie. :) Oh, we'll have cookies and pumpkin pie for dessert.
