so, everyone gets dodgy gifts now and then....what do you do with them???? I am looking for a use for
1.a man bag for the DH that his sister gave him
2.an ugly beach bag and shirt...fluro pink should only be worn by 14 and under....

I always put a "boo-by" prize in my stocking stuffer.

DH got a magic trick but the trick was on me. The trick was for a magic drawer thingamagic....who knew? There was a cockroach in the drawer! Scared the $@#R out of me!

They will go great with my oven mitts and floral summer PJs. flannel is a year round fabric people.

As DD12 would attest to when she's been too lazy to bring out her dirty washing and she's got nothing left to wear other than flanny pjs!

I got good presents this year :cool1:

Still, nothing beats the year my then-boyfriend's (now ex) parents gave me a men's fake leather belt with the interchangeable buckle (with the $2 price tag still on it) and one of those turban style hair towels. :crazy2:

So far I've gotten really good presents this year. We haven't been to DH's family yet and they do seem to be fans of giving you stuff just for the sake of giving you stuff... :lmao:

A couple of years ago DH's ageing grandmother gave me a fluro orange hand towel and matching face cloth... So fluro orange you could see it in the dark. When we got home I diplomatically told DH we'd keep them in the garage... :rotfl:

My brother and sister-in-law gave our almost 15 year old son a bag - then raved on about how it was a gift with purchase - problem was that Jack got no other purchase from them!!! I proceeded to down my champagne in one gulp!!

Thats funnnt except when the kids end up getting crap. My brother posts gifts from Qld as we are in Melb and posted our DS12 and DD14 a t shirt each. Ok, not that bad except that they said Maloolaba Festival 2008, and they were sent this year. And as always no tags on the t shirts so they were either from a thrift store, regifted or worn. Mind you we send his kids minimum $50 gifts every year. Well used to anyway.
