Christmas Gifts for Teens

Does anyone have a teen into art? My DD13 is very into drawing. She draws Disney and Anime mostly. She is asking for better supplies of paper, pencils, markers. I can barely draw stick so I'm lost! Anyone know what I can get for her?
Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils. They are pricey but Michael's frequently has 50% off regular price item coupons and 25% off all items, regular price and sale price. So, if you can get a sale on those then one of those 25% off you can actually do better than the 50% off coupon. It's how I got Prismacolor pencils. Sign up for their rewards card and emails, you'll get coupons daily.

Also, my niece prefers watercolor sketch pads for the markers.

My niece draws anime and she does it on a special computer art tablet. That way it can go directly online.

Thank you!

I hate to suggest this, lol, but my dd (13) is also very much in to drawing. She had heard about Copic markers from her summer art class and begged for some. They are very pricey, but wow do they look nice! So she's been slowly building her stock using coupons at Hobby Lobby.
She just mentioned this marker in the car today! thank you

My DS 15 is an artist. What kind of tablet does your niece have, Robin? DS has asked for a Wacom, and he's "settling" for one that's about $1300! That's approximately $1100 more than we usually spend on Christmas for him, lol! We will likely go on and do it since this is probably going to be related to his eventual career. He qualified for a special "talented art" program at his school, and we are about to start traveling across country to art schools, just to give you an idea of how serious he is.

For those that have done Ipsy, if I set up the account with all the preferences pre-Christmas can my daughter go back on and change them? I was hoping to do it now and get a month before Christmas, but the preferences are quite in depth! I think she'd like to make those choices

No, sorry I don't know what brand it is. I do know that you can get some inexpensive ones that are around $100. Obviously, those are not for people like your son but they might be a reasonable starting point for a less serious teen. Good luck to him!

Yes, you can always re-take the quiz to update preferences

Got my 19yo a magnetic under the car key holder w/ extra key. It's kinda a gift for me too.
Hopefully these still work on early 2000's cars. I guess I should try it out before posting. Nah.

That got me thinking ... I might buy my DD a 6-pack of car washes for her car.

I second Copic markers and Prismacolor Premier pencils. DD's art improved immensely using the Prismacolors. I've found the best deals on Copics at Dick Blick, and the best deals on Prismacolors on Amazon. She also prefers the Strathmore sketch books, particularly Toned Tan. She's asking for Toned Gray for Christmas. She also likes Sakura Gelly Roll pens. She'd mainly been using the white ones to add sparkle to princess drawings, but recently discovered the other pens can fill in a space very smoothly.

I'm getting her the Wacom Intuos Art tablet, about $85 on Amazon. She has used one at school. There are more expensive ones, and she's going into graphic design, but we'll start on the cheap end for now. At first I was looking at the "Draw" version, but it seems the Art has a couple more features for just $10 more. At college she may discover what she really wants or needs so I don't want to invest a lot now.

Copic markers and I bought her the Copic light box. I had never heard of Copic until she asked for them for Christmas.
