Christmas gifts for 7 year old DS

Good morning, everyone. So, I've started shopping for DS and have a list going of things he has mentioned - Legos, Beyblades, Nano bugs, Star Wars Vinylmations, microscope, spy gear type of stuff, etc. I think his big gift this year will be the Kindle Fire (still deciding). Plus, I always add silly craft type of things (i.e. Shrinky Dinks, Mosaics). But, I was wondering if there is anything new/hot in the way of toys this year for his age group. Santa always brings some surprises that aren't on the list. I'm at a bit of a loss this year. Thank you for your help.

My ds will be turning 7 next month and he made a toys r us wish list.He has star wars stuff,teenage mutent ninja turtle liar,figures and accesories.Army guys with aircraft and tank and also a wildwest set sold at toys r us.Power ranger samuri and lego ninjiga.Whats great about making the wish list is its great for telling family what he really wants and whatever is left santa can bring

There are a couple big things my DS8 is asking for this year, but they're pricey. One is called Psycho Cycle, it's an r/c stunt motorcycle. The other one is a Razor Spark Cycle or something like that. They're both around $99. He keeps seeing commercials for them. He also wants the puppy pillow pet thing that lights up their room.
