Christmas Gifts before Disney trip

Hoping for some input before I spend the $$$$

We are going to WDW Jan19-26. Question is...should I buy autograph books and landyards with pins on E-bay or should I just wait until we get to the parks? I thought it might be cute that they get them from "Santa", but then again they are only 6(BBG triplets), and they probably won't think it's that special(1st trip)......
any help would be greatly appreciated!

check out the prices on EBay and if the autograph book is more then $6.95 plus tax for a REAL WDW autograph book then don't get it. As for pins, you can get a WDW lanyard for $5.00 and then pins are $6.95 and up at WDW.

I think I'd get Disney "stuff" for Xmas in anticipation of your upcoming trip. Of course, it depends on how firmly entrenched your kids are in Disneyana--but it certainly makes a trip more meaningful when the kids "get" the characters that they'll see. I'd ask each one what Disney character is their personal favorite and tailor their stocking to that character--maybe with stickers, books, dvd, a pin, whatever. That might be fun for everyone. But then, I'm just a Disney freak.

I orginally thought that my wife wish she waited but I asked her and she said that she was really glad that we had them ahead of time!

Within the first 5 minutes of walking into Magic Kingdom we saw characters and immediately pulled out our autograph books for our 3 kids. Imagine if we didn't have them!!! We would have missed some autographs. Also who wants go hunting for these when you have a chance to buy them on ebay. We might have paid a dollar or two extra but if you find a "real" dealer they will be authentic. My wife said the dealer she went through had a bunch to choose from and will probably deal with him again.

Just to clarify, the lanyards recently went up to $5.95, so don't be surprised if the ebayers are requesting a little more!

Our trip in August will be the first for my 3 kids, ages 10, 8 and 5.

My Sister in law asked me to pick up something for them, so I got fanny packs with a gift card inside.

Santa is also getting everyone a Disney shirt and maybe autograph books as well.
