Christmas Fantasy parade dining packages?

Yay! Thanks for posting the link! Found a reservation for our trip!

Wanted to share that in the fine print policies (I usually don't even look at) it stated clearly that the viewing area was "standing only and no firework viewing." They accommodate for disabilities, of course. Just FYI.

I was just coming to see if anyone had seen that. Now I’m undecided.

For anyone who has done reserved parade viewing before— Do they make sure people have a good view, even though they're standing? Are people lined up along the parade route in one or two rows to watch, or is it possible that my 11 year old will still be behind a big crowd of grown ups and unable to see?

The last one was in March 2020 I think, Magic Happens Parade... I watched a youtube video today about it to see if I want it or not. Their seating was on the train platform on Mainstreet on chairs.

“Keep an eye out for information about our New Year’s Eve Parade—coming soon to Disneyland Park!”

Does anyone know what this means? It’s mentioned in the middle of this package details page. I’ve never heard of a NYE specific parade?

Snagged a reservation for November 12th for our party of 7 but I'm just not sure it's worth it. So I might be dropping the ressie in the next day or two.

I am unsure if I'll keep mine too... food looks ok but I mean, I could eat good food for 15.... so an extra $30 for seats for the parade.... idk.... but I wanted the choice and I wanted it for the 12th so I figured that will prob book up quick

We did packages twice and we were never that impressed with the seats. Just before the parade starts they started letting anyone stand in the reserved area and it got crowded. This was for the Pixar parade.

Hmm.... standing reserved area, I didn't catch that. Might drop my reservation for the 12th too. I was expecting a chair... shouldn't have assumed. My bad. We also have a ressie at Craftsman Bar that day and my now adult children might prefer that! lol We shall decide soon.

I think I’ll wait until the first one and see what it’s like. Not liking the standing only thing. May drop it once we get a chance to see what it is.

I know the Candlelight will be that weekend- so maybe because of that? I could see not doing that weekend because of that, but don't remember them shutting things down all week due to it.
I haven't finished reading the thread, but they start setting up for Candlelight midweek and the area where they have people view the parade would be in the middle of the area.

I’m curious on this too! A New Years Eve parade? Do you suppose they just mean the Christmas Fantasy parade that regularly runs on New Years Eve? Hopefully it’s not part of an unexpected hard ticket party planned for that evening. * nervous LOL*

I just wanted to share that we watched the 3:30 parade yesterday (Saturday, 11/13). It was a crazy crowded day and we weren’t going to watch so we exited the park right before the parade made it to the end of Main Street, but when my son heard the music he asked to go back in so we did. We were able to watch it easily from the area right in front of City Hall. A CM saw us standing in the back on the sidewalk and motioned us over under the rope. Lots of people were sitting here especially on the curb so it was easy for my son to see. If everyone was standing it would have been harder. But all in all it was a pretty sweet spot for walking up as the parade was coming down Main Street. We were a party of four but could have easily fit more people right there. Not sure if it was a fluke or typical.

Watched a YT video and no way do we feel that it’s worth the money. The food looked liked something out of a school cafeteria at best. Add to the fact that you’re picking the food up on a tray, getting your own beverage and its a cafeteria feel at best. The viewing area was just okay but we will definitely pass. Just our two cents. I’m sure many will enjoy it.
