We have made 7:30pm reservations at the Wave on Christmas Eve. How is the food and service? We plan on eating and either taking the monorail to the Polynesian to sit on the beach and watch Wishes or take the monorail over to EPCOT and watch Illuminations from the monorail platform. (We are not going to a park that day because our plane lands around 1:30pm.) What do you think? We are staying off property.

Have never eaten at the wave but I set my godson and his family up there and he really enjoyed it. I noticed that you have a 7:30 ressie....did you think of going to the Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge at 6 and partake in the Christmas eve festivities and entertainment for an hour. I would then go to the Poly and view the fireworls although Epcots Illuminations has a fine Christmas ending that you should see also

A trip to the Grand Floridian might be a good idea. We could even go there after dinner and watch the fireworks. They have that awesome ginger bread house. What type of festivities do they have at the GF and WL?

According to the park hours calder the night you arrive Epcot has PM Extra Magic Hour and by the time you would be finished at The Wave it will have already started, so you wouldn't be allowed in since your staying offsite. Plus it says Illuminations is at 9:30 PM and with the time of your ADR I don't even see you making it for that. So I would also suggest going to the Polynesian or Grand Floridian to see what they have going on.

I have just been at the WL for Christmas eve. Santa will be there along with the characters. They have also had victorian carollers, brass band and other musical ensembles[. There is a direct boat to the Contemporary from WL/B].
