I want to pre-book a character lunch for the lunchtime of Christmas Eve and cant decide between the Steakhouse Sunday Brunch Buffet Character Meal (Euro 35 Ad & 16 ch) or Cafe Mickey Character 3 course Meal (Euros 30 Ad & 14ch).

If you have specifically eaten at any on a Sunday can you tell me what VFM the food portions were, what the selection of food was like and which you would recommend.

Are there any other option (I have already booked POTC and RC)

Thanks all,

Can't comment on what the buffet would be like but the food is good in both places. Cafe Mickey is a much brighter, lighter place. The Silver Spur Steakhouse is quite dark and gloomy with a more formal feel to it. Depends what you want.

Thanks Sarah (gosh that feels strange :goodvibes )

IYO is the atmosphere happier at Cafe Mickey then ? We all enjoy formal meals but its the character interaction I want to give her on Chrsitmas Eve.

Would DD8 feel more at home and relaxed with the characters at CM then ?

We've eaten at the Steakhouse Sunday character brunch twice and love it. The food is an all-you-can-eat buffet plus drinks are included. ::yes:: The food is very "meat" based, and although there are salads and veg it is rather limited if you don't like meat/fish. It is a more upscale buffet than the Lucky Nugget and Plaza Gardens but not so fancy as Inventions. It depends a lot on whether your DD is a fussy eater. If so Cafe Mickey might be better. Both times we have been to the Steakhouse it has only been half-full and we have had brilliant character interaction. Both times there has also been a person wandering around making balloon animals for the children. This is definitely more of an adult restaurant than Cafe Mickey but children are made very welcome there and mine enjoy it, although if they were given the choice I think they would all choose Cafe Mickey. :)

We have only been to Cafe Mickey once at night when it was extremely busy ~ luckily we had made reservations but they were turning people away and telling them not to bother to return. However we had a fantastic time and even though it was packed to the rafters we weren't rushed at all, the food was delicious and the characters still spent loads of time with us. I would definitely return for another meal. :)

So, I have probably been no help at all Sarah ;) but at least you know I enjoyed them both! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
