I'm trying to decide on CRT and the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party for those days. So far I am leaning toward CRT for Christmas Eve and the Dessert party for Christmas day.

Has anyone done either of these things on these days and have tips to share. Lot of if's when I think about it. If i can get a reservation, If the park doesn't close, If it's worth the money. I want to do CRT but we still want to see the parade and fireworks. Thought the dessert party would be fun just to be up out of the crush while we watch the fireworks.

Just be aware that on Christmas Day the MK CAN AND DOES close to capacity.IF you are not in the park and it is at a Phase4 closure, you will NOT be admitted for any dining arrangements. So make sure that if you are making any adrs for that day that you get to the MK early and plan on being there till AFTER you have your adrs. You may or may not get back into the park if you leave for a break etc.

You couldn't PAY me to be in the MK on Christmas Day. I really do think a lot of people believe the ABC televised Christmas parade is filmed live that morning! You'd have to get there early in the morning and be prepared to stay in a packed park all day until the dessert party.

When we've done WDW for Christmas, we've left the day after because of the mob scene. I think you'll be OK on Christmas Eve at MK, but I would steer clear on Christmas or go early and leave by noon.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the crowds on Christmas day at DHS and Epcot. Some ice cream while walking through the "snow" at the Osbourne Lights may be more magical! Maybe an Illuminations cruise? Good luck!

Well that doesn't sound fun at all :rotfl: And I am :o to say I thought thats when the parade was too!! :rotfl: So when do they do the parade with the tin soldiers? We went to a Christmas Party last time and saw them but we are not doing that this time.

I also want to catch the special Christmas Wishes and the Electric parade. It's really sounding like I should try for Christmas eve dinner at CRT, see the parade and fireworks that night and then take a break on Christmas day.

Yes I am worried about that. We really are not going to spend all of Christmas day in a huge crowd. I wanted to pop in for fireworks and the parade at night.

We are there from the 17th -27th so we should be able to do everything we want if we hit the least crowded days, do rope drop, and get out when the crowds build. DD9 (and myself, lol) thought Christmas eve dinner at the Castle would be magical. I really want to see the special fireworks and the Electric parade. It's hard to plan when the schedule isn't out yet, I'm using last years as a guide.

I think everyones advice to avoid MK on Christmas Day is very good advice and I'm going to take it and think of someplace else to spend the day. We are not going to be up and ready to do anything until late afternoon on that day. I had planned sleeping in and then opening presents, going to the pool if it is nice, etc. We might be ready to do something in the evening though and thats what I'm trying to think of. I would love to do DHS it's my second favorite park!

The Christmas parade is actually filmed the first weekend in December. They do have a Christmas parade that day, but it is not on tv.We did Christmas day at the MK once..It closed to capacity by 1030am:scared1: and pretty much went back and forth thru stages of closure all day..It was wall to wall people.Too much for this mouseketeer..I go the week before Christmas or in Sept( and Sept is my preference ) now
