:santa: We are going to be at DLR from Dec. 21-25 this year. While we have made trips for the holiday season in the past, this is the first time that we will be at DLR on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

I know that the DLH does a special meal on Easter in one of the ballrooms. Is there anything comparable for Christmas and/or Christmas Eve? Or, do any of the restaurants do special menus (like many of the WDW restaurants do)?

Right now we are leaning towards booking Storyteller's on Christmas Eve (dH loves the dinner buffet there) and Minnie & Friends for brunch on Christmas morning, but I wanted to make sure that there isn't anything special that we might be missing!:santa:

I think what you are speaking of is the grand buffet offered in the DLH ballroom...they have this HUGE, gorgeously decorated, fabulous layout of food experience on Easter, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving...However, it isnt offered for Christmas which I personally think they should...it would be fabulous and they could charge quite a bit and people would pay it for sure...as it stands now, the parks do not have a special Christmas menu but all 3 of the hotels do and also restaurants in DD do...you probably want to check with them as soon as you can because it will be packed and Im 99% sure you will HAVE to have a reservation...

oh and also there is a fabulous restaurant in Anaheim that has been voted best in anaheim for many years and it is called The Anaheim White House...Ive eaten there a couple times in the past but not recently...I remember when we went, they sent a limo to pick us up and bring us to the restaurant and then brought us back to our hotel both times...I think they do a special Christmas dinner you might want to look into...the food is really good

Thanks for the info about the lack of buffet on Christmas/Christmas Eve. I, too, think that they could make a fortune by having a special offering for the holidays... oh well, I guess DLR doesn't need any additional ways to make money from us ;) :rotfl:

We are actually driving home on Christmas Day, so since there is nothing special going on onsite, I will probably just book Minnie & Friends for the last seating so that we can do brunch before we head back home. We have been there before and it is consisently good & convenient. I just didn't want to miss out on something that might be unique to Christmas Day!
